They played like **** for most of the match, specially compared to their previous generations from 15-20 years ago, that's what I was referring to.

Of course they aren't as strong as they were 15-20 years ago, what else is knew? And maybe you should take a look at U18 or U20 level when talking about "getting **** together".

Maybe he didn´t know Russia finished 2nd in the groupstage and will probably need to play 1th placed Canada in the semis already.

I guess silver, bronze or no medal at all is pretty much the same **** for Russia. If you want to win gold, you have to beat Canada at some point and whether this is in the semis or in the final, makes no big difference, IMHO.

To me beating Canada equals gold

Russia would have played a perfect game had we not taken 5 penalties in neutral and offensive zones.

That's a serious problem, Canada will punish us badly if we gift them PPs like that

This game pretty much summed up our whole tournament (round robin stage). Good start, but unable to convert chances, then very inconsistent middle and then terrible performance and getting rekt in the end.
Our team was never working as a team should, passing when you should shoot, shooting when you should pass and terrible passes overall, when something happened it was usually just individual effort by a player. Changes in lines between every game, but it never started to work, just kept getting worse.

Deserved win for Russia, well controlled game by them.

Hey don't worry man, Czech Republic is cool in my books. Recently visited Prague - amazing city! Greetings! :)

i m sorry. still dont have it. fin as last team from round robin (B-group) has to play the first from A group in semis. where i am wrong ?

edit - nevermind, finally got it. huh

I was at the game!!! I don't know I'll ever get the chance to see a game like that in France again. Great game, but Russia wasn't that great at the exception of Kucherov, Panarin and Kuznetsov
