This will be an easy win for Russia. Our team is in a downward spiral since the very first game.

4-1 Russia

I wouldn't write Czechs off just yet. We have a good history against Russia. The first goal will be very important.

I agree that Russians are clearly favourites, but that this team can play very well if they want to. If we can avoid bad start, it can be pretty interesting. I hope Francouz will be the starter as he was better than Mrazek so far.

Kuznetsov will play with Plotnikov and Barabanov. So Telegin and Andronov will probably get their CSKA team-mate Nichushkin. I hope the ice is ok in Paris.

I hope this work better both for Nichuskin and Kuzy (he will need to step up last game he was so bad )

Russia win 3-1

I'm not convinced by our team at all, i wouldn't be surprised if this will be a blowout. Yes, there is a slim chance that we will somehow forget the whole round robin stage and suddenly start playing different hockey. There is also a slim chance the Russians will choke, it has happened before in important matches against us before... Those are still slim chances though and imo they add up to about 15% chance for Czech victory. I think that CZE beating RUS here would be about the same upset as SUI beating SWE.

I do hope our boys prove me wrong though.

team cze is underdog of course. I'm praying for dramatic game. anyway upset is welcome.

But the question is, will he play, and act like he is a member of a team?

The Czechs will use a similar formula to the USA, with a heavy body attack and heavy forechecking. Emotion and psychology is always on the Czech side.

I expect different Czech team, for sure. It will be definitely better team compared to what we saw against Switzerland. Is it going to be enough to beat Russia? That remains to be seen. But it is doable.
