While I may hate the fact NHLers aren’t here, this game is one of the things I do like about their absence.........more parity.

Nice to see someone other than Canada, The US, Russia, Sweden, and the Finns just steamrolling everything.

Germany competing for a medal will hopefully help grow hockey in Germany. Might not have the biggest impact but it'll atleast help

Wow big deal. He got 2 minutes of icetime where he also produced a goal. This is all on the coach.

People expecting a 17yo kid that plays spotty defense to play significant minutes shows everything that is wrong with this years Team Sweden.

A big fail for Swedish hockey, I cant help to think it was a bit too much safe bets from thw SWE coaching staff with leaving out E Pettersson and not letting Dahlin play enough.

That said, I assume that the Germans had a real strong game, stuff like that can happen.

Why is he even on the team then ? Absolutely no sense in bringing a guy to just sit on the bench every single game.

I'm not happy. It's ****ing disgraceful. The team we had should be able to beat that German team any day of the week. There's no excuses here.

Well.. you didn't :D
But maybe in the summer you'll beat us in the football world cup, we always lose or draw one game in the group stage. So good luck ;)

They played tight and disiplined but were completely blue half way through the game. Started losing the face offs around the same time as well. If were being honest, Sweden could have won that game, it's not like they were outplayed. There were times when Germany couldn't get out of their zone. Of course the hard game against Switzerland played a role here, too. But I don't want to be critical. It was a great effort and I'm very happy.

The whole tournament has been parity. The biggest defeat, if I remember correctly, was Switzerland's 8-0 win over Korea. But then Korea played, all things considered, 3 very close games aside from that. (1 goal loss to Czech's, 4 goal loss to Canada, and a very close game in the Semi-Finals as well). Slovenia had some great games as well. Germany is playing for a medal and in two games against the Swedes, they went 4 goals for, 4 goals against.

While NHL players usually make the Semi-Finals very fun and high quality, that's about it. This feels a lot like a Spengler Cup, which is also a very fun tournament that a lot of people don't watch. The quality of hockey isn't as high, but the games are very entertaining in a "juniors" kind of way.
