[collapse=Notes]A high energy, back and forth match built primarily around London and Kendrick having to rely solely on their speed to compete with the strength and intelligence of Furnas and LaFon.
Furnas picks up the victory over Kendrick, as London was out on the floor selling a prior hit. The Can-Am Express celebrate and leave.
London enters the ring to tend to Kendrick and the crowd cheers them. Kendrick has a cry baby-esque meltdown and turns on London with accusations of leaving him high and dry. Kendrick leaves to boo’s from the crowd, and his “Man with a Plan” theme song and signature dance moves.
Winners: Furnas and LaFon
The Miz and Maryse make their way to the ring. Miz grabs a mic and accuses Mike Awesome of being petty and jealous. Miz details the amount of work he had to put in to change the definition of Awesome from meaning a joke like Mike Awesome. “He should drop the name himself out of respect but if I have to beat him to do it, so be it. Because I’m the Miz, and ONLY I am AWESOME!"
Maryse also speaks French, then translates to English to the crowd, as a refined woman, to insult Mike Awesome’s ugliness and mullet haircut.
Mike Awesome appears, making his entrance for his match against The Miz. Awesome has been accusing The Miz of making a mockery of wrestling, his “soft” style and his use of the word ‘awesome’ being a disgrace to everything he stands for. Awesome intends to make him pay for use of his namesake, with his blood and broken bones.
This issue will be solved tonight. An issue dating back to a YouShoot Mike Awesome interview where Awesome first mocked Miz’s use of the word.[/collapse]

[collapse=Notes3]Fast-paced, athletic match that’s anyone’s to win. All three men exhibit intelligence and have clearly done their homework on each other. It’s the crowd’s best guess as to who will win, and everyone marvels at the athletic display spectacle.
The match gains more and more intensity in a rapid build, big move after big move. In a back and forth sequence, Aries sidestep spins away from a Lance Storm super-kick, who spins to meet Aries’ discus forearm smash, crumpling Storm out of the ring. Noble rolls Aries up from behind out of nowhere and wins the match, stunning Aries and the crowd.
Winner: Jamie Noble
Following Noble’s win, a voice is heard over the sound system, cutting off his music; “You guys thought that was a great wrestling match and those guys are real tough eh?”
Jim Cornette appears, microphone in hand leading Vader to the ring.
“This man, the monster of the new Camp Cornette, eats breakfasts bigger than all three of these guys!”
Vader enters the ring and destroys all Aries, Storm and Noble. Cornette continues; “Revival! You turned down my offer to join me in Camp Cornette, and become the real top guys and the Briscoe Brothers are gonna show you why that was a bad idea, when they take you to school later on tonight and take your title as tuition! But as of right now, this man is starving for a real challenge so Chris Hero, get your fattedned up, lazy ass out here right now! I can’t think of a better man than Big Van Vader to finally be able to whoop your ass into shape!”
Chris Hero enters through the curtain. Hero had been mocked by Cornette for his physique, as Cornette’s dislike for similarly built guys is well-documented.[/collapse]

[collapse=Notes4]A hard-hitting and stiff affair of a match, Chris Hero goes man to man with Vader without backing down, landing several hard forearm shots to the head that clearly begin to collectively effect Vader’s performance, the longer the match goes. Jim Cornette frequently gets involved to provide Vader with breaks any time Hero manages to string some offense together.
Cornette will try to get involved, but will be stopped by Hero and receive some comeuppance. The goal will be achieved however, as the distraction would lead to Hero’s loss.

[collapse=Notes5]What I would imagine to be a fantastic technical but also stiff match. A battle about sportsmanship and respect over KENTA’s Intercontinental championship. This was sparked when Regal knocked KENTA out with brass knuckles at the match contract signing after Regal became #1 contender. Regal goes as far as to frequently cheap-shot KENTA, and speaking against KENTA’s cultural style. To Regal, the UK produces the best wrestlers because they are tough, and learn to deal with rule breaking and what is necessary to survive in a fight.
KENTA will win the match using a Go-To-Sleep following having already subjected Regal to a flying knee, to be sold only the way Regal could sell it. Bringing an instant classic of a personally heated, high-stakes pro wrestling match, featuring stretches and knee strikes galore, to a close.
Winner: KENTA
The crowd is shown live footage on the Titantron, showing WWF Champion Bret Hart running down a hallway to the medical room. Stu Hart is seen there unconscious.
Bret trashes part of the room in frustration and storms out, yelling for Terry Funk. Funk is just outside the hall, calling to Bret in a taunting way. Bret cannot get to Funk however, due to a sea of referees and personnel between them. ”You son of a *****! You call yourself a real man! I’m going to make you quit!” Bret is heard yelling at Funk.
‘“See you in the ring later tonight, boy!” calls Funk as he exits the hallway. [/collapse]

[collapse=Notes6]Cornette offered The Revival to join his Camp following The Revival’s tag title win. The Revival would go on to refuse the offer and turn face. Cornette finds Jay and Mark Briscoe as replacements.
The Briscoes would enter a feud with The Revival acting as the new Camp Cornette members, but also from a point of being out to prove that they are the true Southern dominant tag-team. Just because they didn’t name themselves “The Revival” ain’t mean they ain’t the ones who truly revived tag-team wrestling.
The drama build would be huge, having fans being invested in the outcome and producing lots of arena noise. I imagine this might be the match on the card that would best lend itself to some juice. Cornette would be involved in the finish to give The Briscoes the win, and the tag team titles. Winners: The Briscoes (new tag champs)[/collapse]

“Mr. Perfect”

[collapse=Notes7]For weeks Mr. Perfect had been school yard bullying Mankind. Mocking and harassing Mankind about everything from his tattered shirt and tie to his foul smelling, leather mask. Mankind had pinned Hennig in tag-team action on a TV taping show and Perfect viciously assaulted Mankind.
“I did you fans and this industry a favor. It’s insulting to see Mankind even be allowed in the building, let alone make a mockery of my perfected profession inside this ring. You people shouldn’t be cheering for an average slob like Mankind. You should be cheering for something great than yourselves. Something Perfect. You should be cheering for me, god damn it!”
Mr. Perfect learns a lesson in why you shouldn’t judge books by their covers. Mankind proved his worth through his mental toughness and endurance, making Perfect tap in disgust when he was unable to escape the Mr. Socko aided Mandible Claw.

“I Quit” Match for the WWF Championship

[collapse=Notes8]Terry Funk makes his entrance with his father, Dory Sr. in the front row, ringside in the crowd. Fans are booing Terry Funk, until all of a sudden, they begin to cheer. Bret Hart comes flying out behind Funk, attacking him from behind.
From then on, the match goes through the crowd, the two men brawling and taking bumps on the arena’s concrete floors. Everything weapon around is used by Funk, while Bret elects to wrestle more.
Once in and around the ring there would be more showcasing of top-notch ring psychology and technical ability. Think Bret at his babyface prime (‘94/’95) against late 80s/early 90s Funk.
In envision the ending would include Stu Hart triumphantly returning to take care of Dory Dr. while Funk has Hart set up for a spinning toe hold in the corner. Hart kicks Funk off into the corner, where he is prone to being set up by Bret for the dreaded Figure-4 around the ring post. The move would be in for quite a while before Funk finally quits.

-I will set up the pre match promos and make it really funny. Finish is that Roberts sets Rock up for a DDT. Rock punches his stick and gets out. It perfectly sets up a Rock Bottom. Rock wins.
Lesnar VS RVD for Universal champion with Shamrock as special guest ref
-I will set up a Brock/ Shamrock fued. Lesnar suplexes RVD into Shamrock. Shamrock shoves Lesnar. They are face to face about to fight. Theodore Long comes out as commissioner and says that if they want to have a real fight to go at it. Another ref comes to the ring. Lesnar then suplexes RVD ten times and goes to cheer in the corner on the ropes. As he does that RVD does a five star frog splash from the top rope and pins Shamrock. Ref counts to three and just as he hits three Lesnar hits the ref. New champ. RVD
Kane VS Balor in a cage match
-demon Kane will be feuding with Balor to set up the fight. Match happens and it is demon Balor that comes out. It is the first time Demon Balor debuts in the WWE. In the end Balor goes for a Coup de Grace from the top of the cage. He hits it but rolls an ankle. The plan was to have Kane put Balor over. Balor is in real pain. WWE scrambles to change their finish to still put Balor over. Kane grabs Balor and is holding him up for the choke slam. Paul Bearer comes out and keeps yelling "Kane no, nooo Kaaaane". Kane drops Balor. Bearer yells to Kane that he is your son Kane. Demon Kane looks at Demon Balor and just lies down to get pinned. Balor wins and limps off.

Background:
The company is full of fractions, and the main players are Chaos, led by the "rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, and his manager, the head booker of New Japan, Gedo, The Wyatt Family, with Bray Wyatt at the helm, Los Ingobernables de Japon, founded by Tetsuya Naito, Suzuki-gun, a yakuza-styled stable named after its leader, Minoru Suzuki, and finally, The Million Dollar Corp, headed by the "Million Dollar Man", Ted DiBiase. These groups all vie for control, signified by the various championships in the company, but in the last year and a half, nobody has come up on top, because the top prize, the World Championship, which also naturally comes with the privilege of being the face of the entire company, has been held by those that are not in any of the fractions. Currently, the champion is Shawn Michaels, who in the midst of a long reign, and his main challengers, the Great Muta, Seth Rollins and Hiroshi Tanahashi, are also not in any fractions.
To break the stalemate, Ted DiBiase decides to hold a tournament. Not only will the winner win the valuable Million Dollar Belt, he will also become the de-facto new face of the Million Dollar Corporation, which naturally means that person can use all the money and resources of the organization, as he sees fit. As a result, many are interested, and due to the high number of interested parties, DiBiase divided everyone into two groups, limited to only two per fraction, but they will be in the same group, and those in single title belt matches are ineligible. Everyone in the group must face one another, with the winner awarded 2 points, and the one from each group with the most points will face one another in the final, set to happen at the main show, a month afterwards. To ensure that everyone goes out and compete, if any member of the stable forfeits, both members will be forced out of the tournament.

In storyline, there is a sinister purpose to this tournament. Not only will the different fractions fight one another, which could potentially turn into a long feud, the rule where two members of same stable must be in the same group would also create internal discourse within the stable, since they would have to fight one another. More importantly, he would also add a very strong member to his own group, since that person had survived 15 matches and still come up on top, and the fact that person could be a member of another fraction would just be cherry on top.
In reality, this tournament format, used most notably by New Japan, allows for new matchups, without the need for any buildups. Plus, it gives a chance for two members of the same fraction to fight one another, but does not necessary require them to fall out and break up the stable. More importantly, it also allows for a setup of future matches.
As for the participants, everyone has their own intentions. Okada mainly wants to be World Champion, and be seen as the best in the world. However, even though he has the head booker, Gedo, by his side, which clearly signifies the fact that he is the clear chosen one of the company, there are still others before him at the moment. As a result, he decides that with the Million Dollar Corporation behind him, along with Chaos that he already heads, he will finally achieve his goal. This is similar to what Suzuki thinks as well, as he wants to use this opportunity to add to his group, Suzuki-gun. While Rollins and John Bradshaw Layfield are not a part of any fraction, both realizes the importance of group support, and they want to use the group to help them become champions.
Wyatt and Naito, however, are completely different. As rebels against the status quo, both do not care for the Million Dollar Corporation one bit, but both decides to enter, just to burn it down from within. Naito wants to do it because he sees it as an obstacle to his goal to win the World Championship, while Wyatt has a deeper reason, as his father, IRS, is a key part of the Corporation that goes against everything he believes in.
As for the others, many of them have been past World Champions in other organizations, while others have never won the big one, despite their talents, so they see it as an opportunity to break the glass ceiling. The tag teams, in particular, does not have to be in the same group, so they see it as extra incentive to join, since this would give them a chance to win two championships.
The one name that is not interested is Tanahashi, the eternal babyface. He wants the Championship, but he sees the tournament as a shortcut, and he wants to achieve through other means.
With the players set, they battled hard over this gruelling long tournament. While there can only be two winners, rivalries began to develop for some others, and eventually, they lead to matches at the Super Wrestling Extravaganzza, in order to settle their differences.
Day 1- A Teaching Moment:

In recent years, WWE always starts with Enzo and Cass at the top of the card, because they know how to get the crowd hot. Once their entrance music hits, the crowd goes wild, and Enzo Amore has them eat out of his hands. The Fantastics, meanwhile, is a very similar face team from the 1980s, a time when many great tag teams rule. Although they are not known for their promos, they are effective enough, and rather underrated, in their mic skills. Add to the fact that both tag teams' finisher is the rocket launcher, this will likely be a great battle between them. It can be seen as a mentor versus protege type of match, and a great way to start the weekend.
"Masterclass in Promos"
Nick Bockwinkel vs. "The Magnificent One" Don Muraco
Bockwinkel is one of the best talkers in the history of the wrestling business, and he "does not even brag about that. It is strictly an unadulterated fact." Unlike others who give emotional fiery speeches or catchphrases, he likes to use big words that would require most people to find a dictionary in order to understand. Add to the fact that he really was one of the best technical wrestler during the 1970s and early 1980s, even when he was in his late 40s and 50s, it made him a stand out heel that everyone just loves to hate, because he can actually back up his words. In fact, Chris Jericho's 2008 character was based on him, and he had one of his best run with it. Don Muraco, on the other hand, gives very cryptic promos that sometimes makes absolutely no sense, but there is always a strange poetic rhythm to them, which strangely make them seem very deep and insightful. Though not a technical master, he is an effective wrestler, and he does all the little things in the ring to draw heat. Who could forget the way he took breaks to eat a meal, as he defeats an opponent? As he himself claims, "when I am bad, I am so good." Like Bockwinkel, he also influenced future generations, most notably Dwayne Johnson, who took his other nickname, “The Rock”, to new levels. Both likes to refer to himself in the third person, and both were cocky heels who can deliver great promos.
This is a battle between two of the best and most influential heels in the wrestling business. While a heel versus heel match is a rarity in wrestling, this will work, because their promos are just so good. Can Bockwinkel take the "Magnificent One" down from the zenith, as he himself believes himself to be, or will Muraco just continues his "obdurate recalcitrance"?
Eva Marie on a Pole Match
"Loser Must Train Eva Marie for a year"
Jaguar Yokota vs. Sara Del Rey
Jaguar Yokota was unarguably one of the best wrestler in wrestling during the 1980s, irregardless of gender. She was the innovator of the Jackhammer, a move made popular by Goldberg more than a decade later, and she was the first female wrestler to receive a 5-stars ratings. While it was unfortunate that she had to retire for the first time at only 24 due to injuries, it allowed her to transition into a trainer, and she helped to mold some of the greatest female wrestlers in history, the most notable was, of course, Manami Toyota, who is considered the greatest wrestler of all-times, with 14 5-stars match under her name. On the other side, Del Rey is also a fantastic wrestler, and she herself was also seen as one of the best in the independent scene. Unfortunately, her prime happened during a time when women's wrestling was in an overall downtrend, and she was never given a chance by the big North American promotions. Fortunately, she eventually found her way into the WWE as a trainer, and many of the female talents in the company credits her as the main reason for their success.
This will be a match between two great trainers, and to add to the drama, the loser will have to train Eva Marie, who continues to look terrible, in a Vince Russo special, an "Eva-Marie-on-a-pole" match. Unlike under pole matches, the “prize” is something that nobody wants.
Openweight Championship
"A Gentleman and a Samurai"
Gentleman Jack Gallagher vs. Hirooki Goto
WWE's 205 Live has not gone well, but one man who continues to stand out is the English Gentleman Jack Gallagher. He has created a fantastic comedic character, but unlike others before him, he can also work, and put up good matches. Goto, on the flip side, is a modern day samurai. He is stoic, and he prefers to let his ring work do the work for him.
Thus, this is a study in contrast, and sometimes, that is just the jolt a match needs to be memorable. Furthermore, their styles, strangely, would probably mesh rather well, because they love their headbutts, as they are an essential part of their gimmick. There is also some importance with this match, because if Goto wins, his group, Chaos, will have gain some power, while his opponent, who is unaffiliated with anyone, will just boost his value as an attractive addition, so this will not a throwaway match.
Intercontinental Championship
Adam Cole vs. Naomichi Marufuji
Adam Cole is a three-time Ring of Honor champion, who also holds the distinction of the longest championship reign in the company's history. In the ring, he is effective enough, but what makes him stand out is his ring presence, which draws in the audience’s attention, and helps to accentuate his heel persona. At only 28, the future is bright for the hottest free agent in the world. On the other end, Marufuji, the innovator of shiranui, or Sliced Bread #2, is the ace of Noah ever since Misawa's unfortunate passing, and while he is not that well-known in the West, he is one of the best at what he does, who combine strong ground attacks, along with breathtaking aerial moves. In fact, he, along with KENTA, likely influenced many independent wrestlers in the west, and their striking style, with an emphasis on strong kicks, is one of the most prominent part of many newer wrestlers’ offence to day, including Seth Rollins, who uses the aforementioned Shiranui, and the curb stomp, another staple in Marufuji’s offence. Cole himself uses the Superkick, and while it was made famous by Michaels, Marufuji also performs a beautiful one in his arsenal.
Thus, this is a battle between an upshot, and the old guard who has influenced him. It also pay homage to Puro wrestling, as it is between a foreign heel, Cole, and a Japanese face, Marufuji. Furthermore, since both are not in any fractions, whoever wins will also be have the power to change the balance of the fraction wars, as this is the second most important title in the company, so this is important enough to main event the first night.
Day 2- “A Second Chance”:
#1 Contender for jr. Heavyweight Belt
"Redemption"
MÃstico vs. Kalisto vs. The Great Sasuke
WWE has employed many Lucha wrestlers over the years, but the only standout is Rey Mysterio. MÃstico came in with great hype, but he could not get accustomed to the WWE style, and he became known for his botches, and not the exciting highlight reel wrestler that he was known for in Mexico. Kalisto had a nice early run, and he even won the United States title, but that was short-lived, and he had been mostly an afterthought. He has barely gotten any T.V. time, and when he does, he is mostly used as a jobber.
Finally, The Great Sasuke is one of the best high flyers from Japan, as he even won “Best High Flyer” from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, or WON, in 1994, but he lasted only a very short time in WWF, even if it was due to his ego, and the fact that he wanted to go into business for himself.
Thus, this is a match between three “failed” WWF projects, and a chance for them to get a second shot at glory. It will also be a perfect way to start day 2, because that it will be a high-flying lucha battle between Japan, United States, and Mexico, the three meccas of professional wrestling, which will get the crowd off to a great start.
Women Tag Team Match
"Fairy Tale vs. Nightmare"
The Kimber Bombs (Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb) vs. Rosemary and MsChif
The team of Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb, or Allie at TNA, has travelled and won numerous championships around the world, and they had long tag team reigns in both Shimmer and Shine, two of the most well-known women wrestling companies in the world. In fact, they only had to vacate their titles at the former, only because Cherry Bomb got injured. Rosemary, meanwhile, has made the top 10 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) Female 50 for two years, with a high of #8 in 2014, while MsChif has made it for 4 years, and she was as high as is #4 in 2009. While they have never teamed together, their characters are very similar, so they should work as a team.
While both teams feature great wrestlers, their respective characters will be what sells the match. The Kimber Bombs have always employed a wholesome look, and Kimber Lee, in particular, even calls herself Princess KimberLee at Chikara, while Rosemary plays a demonic type for Decay at TNA, and MsChif has always been a banshee like her whole career. Thus, this is why it is also billed as “Fairy Tale vs. Nightmare”, and such stark contrast could create great chemistry with one another.
Best-Two-Out-of-Three
"For Title of Pound-for-Pound Best Wrestler in the World"
Zack Sabre jr. vs. "The Dragon" Tatsumi Fujinami
Currently, Zack Sabre jr. is, by far, the best technical wrestler in the world. In fact, he has won WON’s Daniel Bryanson Award, for Best Technical Wrestler, for the last 3 years, and only Chris Benoit, Jushin Thunder Liger and Daniel Bryan has won just as many, or more, than him, so he is in some elite company. His opponent, Fujinami, has won twice himself, but he has also innovated many moves, like the Dragon Suplex and Dragon Sleeper, along with Dragon Whip. In fact, during the early 1980s, he may be the best technical wrestler in the world, and he still continue to have good matches, up to the early 1990s.
These two has met in the Million Dollar Tournament, and while they did not advance to the finals, their technical prowess has gotten each other’s attention. After the tournament is over, they have had their run-ins with one another, as Sabre wanted to challenge himself, while Fujinami will not be disrespected by a young gun. As a result, to settle their feud, they decided to have a Best-Two-Out-of-Three match, to determine, pound-for-pound, the best wrestler in the world. Who will prevail, the best in the 1980s, or the best in the 2010s?
Tag Team Turmoil
"#1 Contender for World Tag Team Championship"
The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) vs. America’s Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) vs. Shinjiro Otani and Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs. Tencozy (Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan)
The Wolves is one of the most exciting teams in both TNA and Ring of Honor. Richard and Edwards both have success individually, but they work really well together. Like them, Kojima and Tenzan also have great individual success, but they work very well together. In fact, today, even though they have both slowed considerably, they still work really well together. America’s Most Wanted, meanwhile, helped put TNA’s tag team division on the map. Last but not least, Otani and Takaiwa are probably the least well-known of the bunch, but they have won various title together, and they are both great technical wrestlers.
These four teams also have great credentials, as they all won WON’s tag team of the year. The Wolves won in 2009, America’s Most Wanted in 2005, Otani and Takaiwa in 1998, and Tencozy in 2001. They all have won the tag team championship at various companies, and they all want a chance to win gold again. Although they are in the same match, in a tag team turmoil style, it will cut down on the clutter, and give these teams a chance to face one another in an individual setting, which they truly deserves. It will also allow for future storylines, and it will keep the tag team scene competitive.
[B]The Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time Elimination Chamber[/B]
"Winner gets Money-In-The-Bank Suitcase for any single championships"
Frankie Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal vs. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Michael Elgin vs. Barry Windham vs. Wade Barrett
For Kazarian and Ishii, they have always been seen as the backbone of their respective organizations, as they can put on a good match with anyone, but they have never even sniffed at the title picture, which they fully deserve. Lethal has won the World Title Belt at Ring of Honor, and he held it for over a year, at 427 days, with 28 defenses, but at a bigger organization like TNA, he is seen as a cruiserweight, and never got anywhere close to the title scene, even though he is one of the standouts. Like Lethal, Elgin has won the Championship belt at Ring of Honor, but he felt like a transitional champion, as his reign was rather short. In New Japan, his next home, Elgin has improved by leaps and bounds, and he has put on great matches there, which includes a 5-stars one with Naito, but he has yet to challenge for the main title. Windham is likely one of the best wrestler in the world during the late 1980s, as he has had numerous 5-stars matches, and the version of the Four Horseman he is in is largely considered to be one of the best reiterations, but he was never in the title scene in WWE and WCW. Finally, Barrett is great in the ring, and he is very good on the mic, which is why he is made the leader of the Nexus, one of the best angles in the last ten years, but he famously had his push squashed by John Cena, and he was stuck in the mid-card for the rest of his WWE career.
Thus, this is a match to give these underrated and at many times, under-utilized, wrestlers a chance to finally wear the big one, if they so chooses. They can all wrestle, so this deserves to be the main event of the second night. It gives them a taste of what it is like to be the face of the company, and perhaps a preview of the future for the audience. Plus, more importantly, it is a way to build a future star, and it will also create a lot of storyline possibilities, which is exactly why Russo made this match, even though they all lost in the Million Dollar Tournament.
Day 3- The Night of Champions:
Million Dollar Belt Tournament Final for the Million Dollar Championship and the Backing of Million Dollar Corp
"Money vs. Money"
Kazuchika Okada w/ Gedo vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
Finally, after a very hard-fought tournament that lasted months, Okada and JBL managed to come out on top of their respective pools. Okada came through with sheer tenacity and endurance, which he has come to be known for in recent years, and as someone who is tapped to be the future, he was already a favourite to begin with, and it was not a surprise he makes through. JBL, on the other hand, was a complete underdog. As someone who took a long time to find his mark, nobody had him pegged to win, and somehow, he scrapped and crawled through the tournament, one shortcut and dirty win at a time, and managed to break through. It helps that Russo likes him, and wants to push him again, after the failed Brawl-for-All, so he got a lot of leeway during the tournament.
Strangely, JBL and Okada matches well against one another. During their entrances in big matches, they both drops money with their faces printed on them throughout the arena, and they have similar characters, as there is a pretentiousness and self-important attitude to them that is perfect for a match that determines the new face of the Million Dollar Corporation. Finally, they employ a lariat as their finisher. While Okada is the better wrestler, JBL can tell a decent in-ring story, and because it is to determine the crown jewel of the Million Dollar Corporation, a heel versus heel match would work rather well. It is also a great way to start the final night of the event, with a main-event level match.
Coronation Ceremony
After the match, Ted DiBiase held a ceremony to award the winner the Million Dollar Belt, with the members of the Million Dollar Corporation, IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, and King Kong Bundy, as witnesses. As he was about to hand over the belt, men in disguises appeared, and laid a beat down on everyone in the ring. Afterwards, they took DiBiase away, and left the arena through the crowd. After it happened, the remnants of the Million Dollar Corporation demanded an answer, and called out all the fractions that participated in the tournament to come out into the ring. All the different fractions came out, but Naito and Wyatt was noticeably absent, as they had an upcoming match, and did not want to risk anything. However, they, through their representatives, denied their involvement, along with the other stables. Suzuki, in particular, who came out with Sabre jr., just left, because he thought this was stupid, which caused the atmosphere to become even tenser. As things threaten to boil over, and become a free-for-all, Russo came out with the law enforcements, and demanded they all calm down, because he would not allow someone to hijack the show. Then, in a seemingly eureka moment, he made an impromptu tag match slated for latter in the evening, with the remaining fractions that remained, and made the stipulation that whoever won, would continue to control the Million Dollar Corporation, since every organization needs a leader, until DiBiase can be found. Meanwhile, he would work with the police, and do every in his power to find him. This appeases the groups somewhat, and they went back to the locker room.
jr. Heavyweight Championship
Kota Ibushi vs. Ricochet vs. La Sombra
Kota Ibushi and Ricochet are two of the best high-flyers in recent years. From 2009 to 2015, they alternated the award of Best High Flyer from WON between them, as Ibushi won from 2009 to 2010, and again from 2012 to 2013, while Ricochet got the nod in 2011, and then from 2014 to 2015.
Initially, it was to be a battle between Ibushi and Ricochet. Naito, however, wanted a belt in his collection, and he asked a friend from the principle group of his staple, Los Ingobernables of Mexico, for help. They send La Sombra, one of best young high flyers from Mexico, and he successfully inserted himself in the match, through a lot of provocations.
As a result, like the #1 Contender Match, it becomes a three-way battle from the three meccas of wrestling, and the different high-flying styles would be a treat for the fans, and get them heated again, after the prior distraction.
World Tag Team Championship
"East vs. West"
The Holy Demon Army (Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue) vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts)
Kawada and Taue, as two of the “Four Pillars of Heaven”, along with Misawa and Kobashi, back in All-Japan’s heydays in the 1990s, are accomplished individual competitors, but they are best known for their team work. Together as The Holy Demon Army, one of the best names in wrestling, they are a force of nature as two very angry men bent on destruction, as they have a chip on their shoulder, since they are often blocked by Kobashi and Misawa, have won numerous tag team belts and tournaments together. In fact, in the tag 100 tag team of the PWI Years in 2003, they are listed as number 8, the second highest Japanese tag team on the list. The Fabulous Freebirds is one of the most popular and influential tag team of all-times, and came in at number 3 in the same list. While their individual accomplishments pale in comparison to their opponents, they are best in a team, and they work very well together. Gordy, in particular, is a tag team specialist, and he has been in a number of very good and successful teams, including the Miracle Violence Connection, one which has had classic tilts with the Holy Demon Army, so he is very familiar with his opponents, and can stand toe-to-toe with them.
The Freebirds, in an effort to gain an advantage, implemented the Freebird rule that they help created, which Russo allowed. As a result, this bout has become a handicap match, but The Holy Demon Army is confident, and believe they can overcome all odds. Thus, this will be a battle between two of the best tag teams of all-times, who fully represent the qualities and attitudes of both Japan and America, respectively, and also a homage to classic Puro troupe, in a battle between good, the Japanese faces, and evil, the American heels. Will Japanese pride and aggression come out on top, or will American freedom and can-do attitude prevail?
Women's Championship
"Triple Threat Match"
Alexis Bliss vs. Ember Moon vs. Candice LaRae
Ember Moon, as Athena, and Candice LaRae are two of the best female high flyers in the independent circuits. They are technically proficient, and they often throw all cautions to the wind, in order to entertain the fans. Alexis Bliss, on the other hand, came up in the WWE system, and while she is a lot safer, her mic work is second-to-none, and a reason why she continues to be in championship contention. In fact, she is probably one of the best current talkers in the entire industry, regardless of gender.
That is why this match compels. It features two of the best female workers in the world, and Bliss would help to promote it with her exceptional mic work. Additionally, she understands in-ring psychology quite well, so she can definitely hold her own, and may even steal a victory here against two superior wrestlers. Thus, this will not be a bathroom break, because it will be a good change-of-pace from the hard-hitting previous match, and the result can be quite unpredictable.
"Rebel vs. Rebel"
Tetsuya Naito vs. Bray Wyatt
Naito started out as a high-flying babyface in New Japan, but the audience saw him as a Tanahashi clone, and he was largely rebuffed. In fact, this backlash eventually humiliated him, when voters voted to have his IWGP Championship match with Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 8 happen before the Intercontinental Championship match, the secondary belt in the organization. After that, he went on an excursion to Mexico, and when he returned, he became a changed man. No longer does he care about the crowd, because in his mind, if they do not like him, he will reject them too. As a result, he started to take his time during his entrance into the ring, and a lot of times, he will take a beating and not fight back, until the time suits him. This ironically worked, and today, he is one of the most popular wrestlers for New Japan, despite his status as a heel.
Wyatt, the modern day backwoods preacher, sees through this farcade, after their battle in the Million Dollar tournament. He believes Naito to be a hypocrite, because this pre-emptive rejection comes from a need to be loved. That is why Naito continues to chase for championships, even if he throws it around like garbage. As a result, he, like with John Cena before, decides to cut through the deceit, and expose him for who he is. Thus, during the tournament, and even afterwards, he continued to play mind games with Naito, and eventually, enticed him to a match.
This match will not only be a war between the leaders of two fraction, but it will also be one that pits the modern day rebel who wishes to change the status quo, against the one who only wants to burn everything down. Their promos will be epic and the key selling point, but the complete contrast in a high-flying style and a power style, respectively, can have unexpected chemistry. In fact, this may steal the match.

12-Men Tag Match
"For Control of Million Dollar Corp."
The Million Dollar Corporation (IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, and King Kong Bundy) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil, Bushi, and Sanada) vs. Chaos (Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Barreta) and Yoshi-Hashi w/ Gedo) vs. The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) and Decay (Abyss w/ Rosemary)
After a battle between two leaders of the leading fractions, it becomes a good lead-in to an all-out war between four of the main fractions on the roster. Los Ingobernable de Japan, Chaos and the Wyatt Family, in an alliance with Decay, because of their similarities, but mainly to fill the numbers, will battle for the chance to control the Million Dollar Corporation, their main reason to enter the tournament in the first place. The Million Dollar Corporation, meanwhile, is in a fight for survival.
While this is a match between undercard wrestlers, because their leaders were all preoccupied, it does give them all a chance to show, at a relatively high place on the card. Los Ingobernable’s three members are all well-versed in 3-men tag matches, as they have won the 6-men tag belt numerous times, while The Million Dollar Corporation and The Wyatt Family all have powerful and large wrestlers on their side, who can change the complexion of the match in a moments’ notice. While Chaos employs smaller wrestlers, Roppongi Vice have good chemistry with one another, as they won the jr. Heavyweight tag team championships numerous times, and Yoshi-Hashi is a proficient wrestler. They also have Gedo on the side, which could give them an edge. Plus, with multi-man tag matches, people’s weaknesses can be hidden, so this could be a good and captivating match, due to the high stakes involved.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Ted DiBiase
(w/ Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre jr., Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer), El Desperado (aka Kyosuke Mikami), Taichi, Takashi Iizuka and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) as lumber jacks)
After the previous match is over, the masked men reappeared, and promptly cleared the ring of the exhausted wrestlers. They also returned with DiBiase in tow, and throw him into the ring. Then, the members took off their disguises, and it turned out to be Minoru Suzuki and his group, Suzuki-gun. Finally, it became clear why he only came with Sabre jr., and why he simply left, despite his reputation as a hot head, and the man with the worst personality in the world.
As Suzuki took to the mic, he simply demands a match with DiBiase, and add in the stipulation that whoever wins, will become the new Chairman of the Million Dollar Corporation, and the loser will retire, and leave the business forever. DiBiase, with his backups gone, and surrounded by his enemies, had no choice but to agree to this lumber jack match. In the meantime, Russo came out, and tried to stop the match, because it happened earlier than he had planned, which revealed that he was the mastermind behind the whole deal, but members of Suzuki-gun simply beat him down, and tossed him away.
While DiBiase is known more for his gimmick, he is also quite a technical wrestler who is one of the best to never hold the main championship in the WWF. Suzuki, in the meantime, is one of the toughest fighters in the world, who is also one of the pioneers of MMA in Japan, and one of the greatest grapplers in the world. Add to the fact that they both uses a sleeper hold as a finisher, and this match could be surprising technical affair. What will happen between a great wrestler who is not afraid to bend the rules, especially now with his career at stake, and a legitimate fighter who does not care for the rules, and does what he wants?[/spoil]

"Ace vs. Ace"
Seth Rollins vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Tanahashi is the John Cena of New Japan. For more than a decade, he has carried the company on his back, and his efforts brought the company out of a depressed state, one that borders on bankruptcy, and into a brighter tomorrow. Quite simply, he is the face of New Japan, an undisputed “ace”. Against him, Rollins is the best wrestler of the WWE, and while the company pushes Roman Reigns before him, he is well-loved by the audience, and he is basically the “ace” in their eyes. While Rollins finished a close second to Okada in the Million Dollars tournament, he managed to insert himself into the title picture, and a match against Tanahashi, for the #1 Contender.
This will be a match between the two aces of the biggest company in the world. They matches up very well, because their movesets are eerily similar, as they both uses the frog splash and the sling blade, but most importantly, they are known for their incredible workrates, so this will likely be an incredible match. It will also be able to calm people down from the previous twist, and keep them heated for the main event.
World Championship
Shawn Michaels vs. The Great Muta
This is a match between the two legends of the industry, and there is nowhere more fitting, than the main event of the show, and for the World Championship. Michaels is arguably the greatest of all-times, who owns two of the five 5-stars matches in WWE, and innovated how a ladder match can be performed in North America. Muta, meanwhile, has one of the greatest and influential gimmicks of all-times, and he is the first Japanese star to be very over with the North American audience. They are also known for their longevity, because they still continued to perform at a high level, even in the late 40s.
This is, unofficially, a great versus great match. Michaels, in his battle with The Undertaker, showed that he knows how to battle a supernatural character, and Muta, with his vast experience and well-versed in-ring psychology, knows how to put on any match. When given the freedom to perform any type of match, these creative veterans will put on a great show

[collapse=Notes]A high energy, back and forth match built primarily around London and Kendrick having to rely solely on their speed to compete with the strength and intelligence of Furnas and LaFon.
Furnas picks up the victory over Kendrick, as London was out on the floor selling a prior hit. The Can-Am Express celebrate and leave.
London enters the ring to tend to Kendrick and the crowd cheers them. Kendrick has a cry baby-esque meltdown and turns on London with accusations of leaving him high and dry. Kendrick leaves to boo’s from the crowd, and his “Man with a Plan” theme song and signature dance moves.
Winners: Furnas and LaFon
The Miz and Maryse make their way to the ring. Miz grabs a mic and accuses Mike Awesome of being petty and jealous. Miz details the amount of work he had to put in to change the definition of Awesome from meaning a joke like Mike Awesome. “He should drop the name himself out of respect but if I have to beat him to do it, so be it. Because I’m the Miz, and ONLY I am AWESOME!"
Maryse also speaks French, then translates to English to the crowd, as a refined woman, to insult Mike Awesome’s ugliness and mullet haircut.
Mike Awesome appears, making his entrance for his match against The Miz. Awesome has been accusing The Miz of making a mockery of wrestling, his “soft” style and his use of the word ‘awesome’ being a disgrace to everything he stands for. Awesome intends to make him pay for use of his namesake, with his blood and broken bones.
This issue will be solved tonight. An issue dating back to a YouShoot Mike Awesome interview where Awesome first mocked Miz’s use of the word.[/collapse]

[collapse=Notes3]Fast-paced, athletic match that’s anyone’s to win. All three men exhibit intelligence and have clearly done their homework on each other. It’s the crowd’s best guess as to who will win, and everyone marvels at the athletic display spectacle.
The match gains more and more intensity in a rapid build, big move after big move. In a back and forth sequence, Aries sidestep spins away from a Lance Storm super-kick, who spins to meet Aries’ discus forearm smash, crumpling Storm out of the ring. Noble rolls Aries up from behind out of nowhere and wins the match, stunning Aries and the crowd.
Winner: Jamie Noble
Following Noble’s win, a voice is heard over the sound system, cutting off his music; “You guys thought that was a great wrestling match and those guys are real tough eh?”
Jim Cornette appears, microphone in hand leading Vader to the ring.
“This man, the monster of the new Camp Cornette, eats breakfasts bigger than all three of these guys!”
Vader enters the ring and destroys all Aries, Storm and Noble. Cornette continues; “Revival! You turned down my offer to join me in Camp Cornette, and become the real top guys and the Briscoe Brothers are gonna show you why that was a bad idea, when they take you to school later on tonight and take your title as tuition! But as of right now, this man is starving for a real challenge so Chris Hero, get your fattedned up, lazy ass out here right now! I can’t think of a better man than Big Van Vader to finally be able to whoop your ass into shape!”
Chris Hero enters through the curtain. Hero had been mocked by Cornette for his physique, as Cornette’s dislike for similarly built guys is well-documented.[/collapse]

[collapse=Notes4]A hard-hitting and stiff affair of a match, Chris Hero goes man to man with Vader without backing down, landing several hard forearm shots to the head that clearly begin to collectively effect Vader’s performance, the longer the match goes. Jim Cornette frequently gets involved to provide Vader with breaks any time Hero manages to string some offense together.
Cornette will try to get involved, but will be stopped by Hero and receive some comeuppance. The goal will be achieved however, as the distraction would lead to Hero’s loss.

Grudge Match for the Intercontinental Championship

[collapse=Notes5]What I would imagine to be a fantastic technical but also stiff match. A battle about sportsmanship and respect over KENTA’s Intercontinental championship. This was sparked when Regal knocked KENTA out with brass knuckles at the match contract signing after Regal became #1 contender. Regal goes as far as to frequently cheap-shot KENTA, and speaking against KENTA’s cultural style. To Regal, the UK produces the best wrestlers because they are tough, and learn to deal with rule breaking and what is necessary to survive in a fight.
KENTA will win the match using a Go-To-Sleep following having already subjected Regal to a flying knee, to be sold only the way Regal could sell it. Bringing an instant classic of a personally heated, high-stakes pro wrestling match, featuring stretches and knee strikes galore, to a close.
Winner: KENTA
The crowd is shown live footage on the Titantron, showing WWF Champion Bret Hart running down a hallway to the medical room. Stu Hart is seen there unconscious.
Bret trashes part of the room in frustration and storms out, yelling for Terry Funk. Funk is just outside the hall, calling to Bret in a taunting way. Bret cannot get to Funk however, due to a sea of referees and personnel between them. ”You son of a *****! You call yourself a real man! I’m going to make you quit!” Bret is heard yelling at Funk.
‘“See you in the ring later tonight, boy!” calls Funk as he exits the hallway. [/collapse]

”The Briscoes “(with Jim Cornette)
[collapse=Notes6]Cornette offered The Revival to join his Camp following The Revival’s tag title win. The Revival would go on to refuse the offer and turn face. Cornette finds Jay and Mark Briscoe as replacements.
The Briscoes would enter a feud with The Revival acting as the new Camp Cornette members, but also from a point of being out to prove that they are the true Southern dominant tag-team. Just because they didn’t name themselves “The Revival” ain’t mean they ain’t the ones who truly revived tag-team wrestling.
The drama build would be huge, having fans being invested in the outcome and producing lots of arena noise. I imagine this might be the match on the card that would best lend itself to some juice. Cornette would be involved in the finish to give The Briscoes the win, and the tag team titles. Winners: The Briscoes (new tag champs)[/collapse]

“Mr. Perfect”

[collapse=Notes7]For weeks Mr. Perfect had been school yard bullying Mankind. Mocking and harassing Mankind about everything from his tattered shirt and tie to his foul smelling, leather mask. Mankind had pinned Hennig in tag-team action on a TV taping show and Perfect viciously assaulted Mankind.
“I did you fans and this industry a favor. It’s insulting to see Mankind even be allowed in the building, let alone make a mockery of my perfected profession inside this ring. You people shouldn’t be cheering for an average slob like Mankind. You should be cheering for something great than yourselves. Something Perfect. You should be cheering for me, god damn it!”
Mr. Perfect learns a lesson in why you shouldn’t judge books by their covers. Mankind proved his worth through his mental toughness and endurance, making Perfect tap in disgust when he was unable to escape the Mr. Socko aided Mandible Claw.

“I Quit” Match for the WWF Championship
Bret “Hitman” Hart (Champion)

Terry Funk
[collapse=Notes8]Terry Funk makes his entrance with his father, Dory Sr. in the front row, ringside in the crowd. Fans are booing Terry Funk, until all of a sudden, they begin to cheer. Bret Hart comes flying out behind Funk, attacking him from behind.
From then on, the match goes through the crowd, the two men brawling and taking bumps on the arena’s concrete floors. Everything weapon around is used by Funk, while Bret elects to wrestle more.
Once in and around the ring there would be more showcasing of top-notch ring psychology and technical ability. Think Bret at his babyface prime (‘94/’95) against late 80s/early 90s Funk.
In envision the ending would include Stu Hart triumphantly returning to take care of Dory Dr. while Funk has Hart set up for a spinning toe hold in the corner. Hart kicks Funk off into the corner, where he is prone to being set up by Bret for the dreaded Figure-4 around the ring post. The move would be in for quite a while before Funk finally quits.

Lesnar then suplexes RVD ten times and goes to cheer in the corner on the ropes. As he does that RVD does a five star frog splash from the top rope and pins Shamrock. Ref counts to three and just as he hits three Lesnar hits the ref. New champ. RVD
Kane VS Balor in a cage match
-demon Kane will be feuding with Balor to set up the fight. Match happens and it is demon Balor that comes out. It is the first time Demon Balor debuts in the WWE. In the end Balor goes for a Coup de Grace from the top of the cage. He hits it but rolls an ankle. The plan was to have Kane put Balor over. Balor is in real pain. WWE scrambles to change their finish to still put Balor over. Kane grabs Balor and is holding him up for the choke slam. Paul Bearer comes out and keeps yelling "Kane no, nooo Kaaaane". Kane drops Balor. Bearer yells to Kane that he is your son Kane. Demon Kane looks at Demon Balor and just lies down to get pinned. Balor wins and limps off.

Background:
The company is full of fractions, and the main players are Chaos, led by the "rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, and his manager, the head booker of New Japan, Gedo, The Wyatt Family, with Bray Wyatt at the helm, Los Ingobernables de Japon, founded by Tetsuya Naito, Suzuki-gun, a yakuza-styled stable named after its leader, Minoru Suzuki, and finally, The Million Dollar Corp, headed by the "Million Dollar Man", Ted DiBiase. These groups all vie for control, signified by the various championships in the company, but in the last year and a half, nobody has come up on top, because the top prize, the World Championship, which also naturally comes with the privilege of being the face of the entire company, has been held by those that are not in any of the fractions. Currently, the champion is Shawn Michaels, who in the midst of a long reign, and his main challengers, the Great Muta, Seth Rollins and Hiroshi Tanahashi, are also not in any fractions.
To break the stalemate, Ted DiBiase decides to hold a tournament. Not only will the winner win the valuable Million Dollar Belt, he will also become the de-facto new face of the Million Dollar Corporation, which naturally means that person can use all the money and resources of the organization, as he sees fit. As a result, many are interested, and due to the high number of interested parties, DiBiase divided everyone into two groups, limited to only two per fraction, but they will be in the same group, and those in single title belt matches are ineligible. Everyone in the group must face one another, with the winner awarded 2 points, and the one from each group with the most points will face one another in the final, set to happen at the main show, a month afterwards. To ensure that everyone goes out and compete, if any member of the stable forfeits, both members will be forced out of the tournament.

In storyline, there is a sinister purpose to this tournament. Not only will the different fractions fight one another, which could potentially turn into a long feud, the rule where two members of same stable must be in the same group would also create internal discourse within the stable, since they would have to fight one another. More importantly, he would also add a very strong member to his own group, since that person had survived 15 matches and still come up on top, and the fact that person could be a member of another fraction would just be cherry on top.
In reality, this tournament format, used most notably by New Japan, allows for new matchups, without the need for any buildups. Plus, it gives a chance for two members of the same fraction to fight one another, but does not necessary require them to fall out and break up the stable. More importantly, it also allows for a setup of future matches.
As for the participants, everyone has their own intentions. Okada mainly wants to be World Champion, and be seen as the best in the world. However, even though he has the head booker, Gedo, by his side, which clearly signifies the fact that he is the clear chosen one of the company, there are still others before him at the moment. As a result, he decides that with the Million Dollar Corporation behind him, along with Chaos that he already heads, he will finally achieve his goal. This is similar to what Suzuki thinks as well, as he wants to use this opportunity to add to his group, Suzuki-gun. While Rollins and John Bradshaw Layfield are not a part of any fraction, both realizes the importance of group support, and they want to use the group to help them become champions.
Wyatt and Naito, however, are completely different. As rebels against the status quo, both do not care for the Million Dollar Corporation one bit, but both decides to enter, just to burn it down from within. Naito wants to do it because he sees it as an obstacle to his goal to win the World Championship, while Wyatt has a deeper reason, as his father, IRS, is a key part of the Corporation that goes against everything he believes in.
As for the others, many of them have been past World Champions in other organizations, while others have never won the big one, despite their talents, so they see it as an opportunity to break the glass ceiling. The tag teams, in particular, does not have to be in the same group, so they see it as extra incentive to join, since this would give them a chance to win two championships.
The one name that is not interested is Tanahashi, the eternal babyface. He wants the Championship, but he sees the tournament as a shortcut, and he wants to achieve through other means.
With the players set, they battled hard over this gruelling long tournament. While there can only be two winners, rivalries began to develop for some others, and eventually, they lead to matches at the Super Wrestling Extravaganzza, in order to settle their differences.
Day 1- A Teaching Moment:
Enzo and Cass vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers)
In recent years, WWE always starts with Enzo and Cass at the top of the card, because they know how to get the crowd hot. Once their entrance music hits, the crowd goes wild, and Enzo Amore has them eat out of his hands. The Fantastics, meanwhile, is a very similar face team from the 1980s, a time when many great tag teams rule. Although they are not known for their promos, they are effective enough, and rather underrated, in their mic skills. Add to the fact that both tag teams' finisher is the rocket launcher, this will likely be a great battle between them. It can be seen as a mentor versus protege type of match, and a great way to start the weekend.
"Masterclass in Promos"
Nick Bockwinkel vs. "The Magnificent One" Don Muraco
Bockwinkel is one of the best talkers in the history of the wrestling business, and he "does not even brag about that. It is strictly an unadulterated fact." Unlike others who give emotional fiery speeches or catchphrases, he likes to use big words that would require most people to find a dictionary in order to understand. Add to the fact that he really was one of the best technical wrestler during the 1970s and early 1980s, even when he was in his late 40s and 50s, it made him a stand out heel that everyone just loves to hate, because he can actually back up his words. In fact, Chris Jericho's 2008 character was based on him, and he had one of his best run with it. Don Muraco, on the other hand, gives very cryptic promos that sometimes makes absolutely no sense, but there is always a strange poetic rhythm to them, which strangely make them seem very deep and insightful. Though not a technical master, he is an effective wrestler, and he does all the little things in the ring to draw heat. Who could forget the way he took breaks to eat a meal, as he defeats an opponent? As he himself claims, "when I am bad, I am so good." Like Bockwinkel, he also influenced future generations, most notably Dwayne Johnson, who took his other nickname, “The Rock”, to new levels. Both likes to refer to himself in the third person, and both were cocky heels who can deliver great promos.
This is a battle between two of the best and most influential heels in the wrestling business. While a heel versus heel match is a rarity in wrestling, this will work, because their promos are just so good. Can Bockwinkel take the "Magnificent One" down from the zenith, as he himself believes himself to be, or will Muraco just continues his "obdurate recalcitrance"?
Eva Marie on a Pole Match
"Loser Must Train Eva Marie for a year"
Jaguar Yokota vs. Sara Del Rey
Jaguar Yokota was unarguably one of the best wrestler in wrestling during the 1980s, irregardless of gender. She was the innovator of the Jackhammer, a move made popular by Goldberg more than a decade later, and she was the first female wrestler to receive a 5-stars ratings. While it was unfortunate that she had to retire for the first time at only 24 due to injuries, it allowed her to transition into a trainer, and she helped to mold some of the greatest female wrestlers in history, the most notable was, of course, Manami Toyota, who is considered the greatest wrestler of all-times, with 14 5-stars match under her name. On the other side, Del Rey is also a fantastic wrestler, and she herself was also seen as one of the best in the independent scene. Unfortunately, her prime happened during a time when women's wrestling was in an overall downtrend, and she was never given a chance by the big North American promotions. Fortunately, she eventually found her way into the WWE as a trainer, and many of the female talents in the company credits her as the main reason for their success.
This will be a match between two great trainers, and to add to the drama, the loser will have to train Eva Marie, who continues to look terrible, in a Vince Russo special, an "Eva-Marie-on-a-pole" match. Unlike under pole matches, the “prize” is something that nobody wants.
Openweight Championship
"A Gentleman and a Samurai"
Gentleman Jack Gallagher vs. Hirooki Goto
WWE's 205 Live has not gone well, but one man who continues to stand out is the English Gentleman Jack Gallagher. He has created a fantastic comedic character, but unlike others before him, he can also work, and put up good matches. Goto, on the flip side, is a modern day samurai. He is stoic, and he prefers to let his ring work do the work for him.
Thus, this is a study in contrast, and sometimes, that is just the jolt a match needs to be memorable. Furthermore, their styles, strangely, would probably mesh rather well, because they love their headbutts, as they are an essential part of their gimmick. There is also some importance with this match, because if Goto wins, his group, Chaos, will have gain some power, while his opponent, who is unaffiliated with anyone, will just boost his value as an attractive addition, so this will not a throwaway match.
Intercontinental Championship
Adam Cole vs. Naomichi Marufuji
Adam Cole is a three-time Ring of Honor champion, who also holds the distinction of the longest championship reign in the company's history. In the ring, he is effective enough, but what makes him stand out is his ring presence, which draws in the audience’s attention, and helps to accentuate his heel persona. At only 28, the future is bright for the hottest free agent in the world. On the other end, Marufuji, the innovator of shiranui, or Sliced Bread #2, is the ace of Noah ever since Misawa's unfortunate passing, and while he is not that well-known in the West, he is one of the best at what he does, who combine strong ground attacks, along with breathtaking aerial moves. In fact, he, along with KENTA, likely influenced many independent wrestlers in the west, and their striking style, with an emphasis on strong kicks, is one of the most prominent part of many newer wrestlers’ offence to day, including Seth Rollins, who uses the aforementioned Shiranui, and the curb stomp, another staple in Marufuji’s offence. Cole himself uses the Superkick, and while it was made famous by Michaels, Marufuji also performs a beautiful one in his arsenal.
Thus, this is a battle between an upshot, and the old guard who has influenced him. It also pay homage to Puro wrestling, as it is between a foreign heel, Cole, and a Japanese face, Marufuji. Furthermore, since both are not in any fractions, whoever wins will also be have the power to change the balance of the fraction wars, as this is the second most important title in the company, so this is important enough to main event the first night.
Day 2- “A Second Chance”:
#1 Contender for jr. Heavyweight Belt
"Redemption"
MÃstico vs. Kalisto vs. The Great Sasuke
WWE has employed many Lucha wrestlers over the years, but the only standout is Rey Mysterio. MÃstico came in with great hype, but he could not get accustomed to the WWE style, and he became known for his botches, and not the exciting highlight reel wrestler that he was known for in Mexico. Kalisto had a nice early run, and he even won the United States title, but that was short-lived, and he had been mostly an afterthought. He has barely gotten any T.V. time, and when he does, he is mostly used as a jobber.
Finally, The Great Sasuke is one of the best high flyers from Japan, as he even won “Best High Flyer” from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, or WON, in 1994, but he lasted only a very short time in WWF, even if it was due to his ego, and the fact that he wanted to go into business for himself.
Thus, this is a match between three “failed” WWF projects, and a chance for them to get a second shot at glory. It will also be a perfect way to start day 2, because that it will be a high-flying lucha battle between Japan, United States, and Mexico, the three meccas of professional wrestling, which will get the crowd off to a great start.
Women Tag Team Match
"Fairy Tale vs. Nightmare"
The Kimber Bombs (Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb) vs. Rosemary and MsChif
The team of Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb, or Allie at TNA, has travelled and won numerous championships around the world, and they had long tag team reigns in both Shimmer and Shine, two of the most well-known women wrestling companies in the world. In fact, they only had to vacate their titles at the former, only because Cherry Bomb got injured. Rosemary, meanwhile, has made the top 10 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) Female 50 for two years, with a high of #8 in 2014, while MsChif has made it for 4 years, and she was as high as is #4 in 2009. While they have never teamed together, their characters are very similar, so they should work as a team.
While both teams feature great wrestlers, their respective characters will be what sells the match. The Kimber Bombs have always employed a wholesome look, and Kimber Lee, in particular, even calls herself Princess KimberLee at Chikara, while Rosemary plays a demonic type for Decay at TNA, and MsChif has always been a banshee like her whole career. Thus, this is why it is also billed as “Fairy Tale vs. Nightmare”, and such stark contrast could create great chemistry with one another.
Best-Two-Out-of-Three
"For Title of Pound-for-Pound Best Wrestler in the World"
Zack Sabre jr. vs. "The Dragon" Tatsumi Fujinami
Currently, Zack Sabre jr. is, by far, the best technical wrestler in the world. In fact, he has won WON’s Daniel Bryanson Award, for Best Technical Wrestler, for the last 3 years, and only Chris Benoit, Jushin Thunder Liger and Daniel Bryan has won just as many, or more, than him, so he is in some elite company. His opponent, Fujinami, has won twice himself, but he has also innovated many moves, like the Dragon Suplex and Dragon Sleeper, along with Dragon Whip. In fact, during the early 1980s, he may be the best technical wrestler in the world, and he still continue to have good matches, up to the early 1990s.
These two has met in the Million Dollar Tournament, and while they did not advance to the finals, their technical prowess has gotten each other’s attention. After the tournament is over, they have had their run-ins with one another, as Sabre wanted to challenge himself, while Fujinami will not be disrespected by a young gun. As a result, to settle their feud, they decided to have a Best-Two-Out-of-Three match, to determine, pound-for-pound, the best wrestler in the world. Who will prevail, the best in the 1980s, or the best in the 2010s?
Tag Team Turmoil
"#1 Contender for World Tag Team Championship"
The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) vs. America’s Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) vs. Shinjiro Otani and Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs. Tencozy (Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan)
The Wolves is one of the most exciting teams in both TNA and Ring of Honor. Richard and Edwards both have success individually, but they work really well together. Like them, Kojima and Tenzan also have great individual success, but they work very well together. In fact, today, even though they have both slowed considerably, they still work really well together. America’s Most Wanted, meanwhile, helped put TNA’s tag team division on the map. Last but not least, Otani and Takaiwa are probably the least well-known of the bunch, but they have won various title together, and they are both great technical wrestlers.
These four teams also have great credentials, as they all won WON’s tag team of the year. The Wolves won in 2009, America’s Most Wanted in 2005, Otani and Takaiwa in 1998, and Tencozy in 2001. They all have won the tag team championship at various companies, and they all want a chance to win gold again. Although they are in the same match, in a tag team turmoil style, it will cut down on the clutter, and give these teams a chance to face one another in an individual setting, which they truly deserves. It will also allow for future storylines, and it will keep the tag team scene competitive.
[B]The Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time Elimination Chamber[/B]
"Winner gets Money-In-The-Bank Suitcase for any single championships"
Frankie Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal vs. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Michael Elgin vs. Barry Windham vs. Wade Barrett
For Kazarian and Ishii, they have always been seen as the backbone of their respective organizations, as they can put on a good match with anyone, but they have never even sniffed at the title picture, which they fully deserve. Lethal has won the World Title Belt at Ring of Honor, and he held it for over a year, at 427 days, with 28 defenses, but at a bigger organization like TNA, he is seen as a cruiserweight, and never got anywhere close to the title scene, even though he is one of the standouts. Like Lethal, Elgin has won the Championship belt at Ring of Honor, but he felt like a transitional champion, as his reign was rather short. In New Japan, his next home, Elgin has improved by leaps and bounds, and he has put on great matches there, which includes a 5-stars one with Naito, but he has yet to challenge for the main title. Windham is likely one of the best wrestler in the world during the late 1980s, as he has had numerous 5-stars matches, and the version of the Four Horseman he is in is largely considered to be one of the best reiterations, but he was never in the title scene in WWE and WCW. Finally, Barrett is great in the ring, and he is very good on the mic, which is why he is made the leader of the Nexus, one of the best angles in the last ten years, but he famously had his push squashed by John Cena, and he was stuck in the mid-card for the rest of his WWE career.
Thus, this is a match to give these underrated and at many times, under-utilized, wrestlers a chance to finally wear the big one, if they so chooses. They can all wrestle, so this deserves to be the main event of the second night. It gives them a taste of what it is like to be the face of the company, and perhaps a preview of the future for the audience. Plus, more importantly, it is a way to build a future star, and it will also create a lot of storyline possibilities, which is exactly why Russo made this match, even though they all lost in the Million Dollar Tournament.
Day 3- The Night of Champions:
Million Dollar Belt Tournament Final for the Million Dollar Championship and the Backing of Million Dollar Corp
"Money vs. Money"
Kazuchika Okada w/ Gedo vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
Finally, after a very hard-fought tournament that lasted months, Okada and JBL managed to come out on top of their respective pools. Okada came through with sheer tenacity and endurance, which he has come to be known for in recent years, and as someone who is tapped to be the future, he was already a favourite to begin with, and it was not a surprise he makes through. JBL, on the other hand, was a complete underdog. As someone who took a long time to find his mark, nobody had him pegged to win, and somehow, he scrapped and crawled through the tournament, one shortcut and dirty win at a time, and managed to break through. It helps that Russo likes him, and wants to push him again, after the failed Brawl-for-All, so he got a lot of leeway during the tournament.
Strangely, JBL and Okada matches well against one another. During their entrances in big matches, they both drops money with their faces printed on them throughout the arena, and they have similar characters, as there is a pretentiousness and self-important attitude to them that is perfect for a match that determines the new face of the Million Dollar Corporation. Finally, they employ a lariat as their finisher. While Okada is the better wrestler, JBL can tell a decent in-ring story, and because it is to determine the crown jewel of the Million Dollar Corporation, a heel versus heel match would work rather well. It is also a great way to start the final night of the event, with a main-event level match.
Coronation Ceremony
After the match, Ted DiBiase held a ceremony to award the winner the Million Dollar Belt, with the members of the Million Dollar Corporation, IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, and King Kong Bundy, as witnesses. As he was about to hand over the belt, men in disguises appeared, and laid a beat down on everyone in the ring. Afterwards, they took DiBiase away, and left the arena through the crowd. After it happened, the remnants of the Million Dollar Corporation demanded an answer, and called out all the fractions that participated in the tournament to come out into the ring. All the different fractions came out, but Naito and Wyatt was noticeably absent, as they had an upcoming match, and did not want to risk anything. However, they, through their representatives, denied their involvement, along with the other stables. Suzuki, in particular, who came out with Sabre jr., just left, because he thought this was stupid, which caused the atmosphere to become even tenser. As things threaten to boil over, and become a free-for-all, Russo came out with the law enforcements, and demanded they all calm down, because he would not allow someone to hijack the show. Then, in a seemingly eureka moment, he made an impromptu tag match slated for latter in the evening, with the remaining fractions that remained, and made the stipulation that whoever won, would continue to control the Million Dollar Corporation, since every organization needs a leader, until DiBiase can be found. Meanwhile, he would work with the police, and do every in his power to find him. This appeases the groups somewhat, and they went back to the locker room.
jr. Heavyweight Championship
Kota Ibushi vs. Ricochet vs. La Sombra
Kota Ibushi and Ricochet are two of the best high-flyers in recent years. From 2009 to 2015, they alternated the award of Best High Flyer from WON between them, as Ibushi won from 2009 to 2010, and again from 2012 to 2013, while Ricochet got the nod in 2011, and then from 2014 to 2015.
Initially, it was to be a battle between Ibushi and Ricochet. Naito, however, wanted a belt in his collection, and he asked a friend from the principle group of his staple, Los Ingobernables of Mexico, for help. They send La Sombra, one of best young high flyers from Mexico, and he successfully inserted himself in the match, through a lot of provocations.
As a result, like the #1 Contender Match, it becomes a three-way battle from the three meccas of wrestling, and the different high-flying styles would be a treat for the fans, and get them heated again, after the prior distraction.
World Tag Team Championship
"East vs. West"
The Holy Demon Army (Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue) vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts)
Kawada and Taue, as two of the “Four Pillars of Heaven”, along with Misawa and Kobashi, back in All-Japan’s heydays in the 1990s, are accomplished individual competitors, but they are best known for their team work. Together as The Holy Demon Army, one of the best names in wrestling, they are a force of nature as two very angry men bent on destruction, as they have a chip on their shoulder, since they are often blocked by Kobashi and Misawa, have won numerous tag team belts and tournaments together. In fact, in the tag 100 tag team of the PWI Years in 2003, they are listed as number 8, the second highest Japanese tag team on the list. The Fabulous Freebirds is one of the most popular and influential tag team of all-times, and came in at number 3 in the same list. While their individual accomplishments pale in comparison to their opponents, they are best in a team, and they work very well together. Gordy, in particular, is a tag team specialist, and he has been in a number of very good and successful teams, including the Miracle Violence Connection, one which has had classic tilts with the Holy Demon Army, so he is very familiar with his opponents, and can stand toe-to-toe with them.
The Freebirds, in an effort to gain an advantage, implemented the Freebird rule that they help created, which Russo allowed. As a result, this bout has become a handicap match, but The Holy Demon Army is confident, and believe they can overcome all odds. Thus, this will be a battle between two of the best tag teams of all-times, who fully represent the qualities and attitudes of both Japan and America, respectively, and also a homage to classic Puro troupe, in a battle between good, the Japanese faces, and evil, the American heels. Will Japanese pride and aggression come out on top, or will American freedom and can-do attitude prevail?
Women's Championship
"Triple Threat Match"
Alexis Bliss vs. Ember Moon vs. Candice LaRae
Ember Moon, as Athena, and Candice LaRae are two of the best female high flyers in the independent circuits. They are technically proficient, and they often throw all cautions to the wind, in order to entertain the fans. Alexis Bliss, on the other hand, came up in the WWE system, and while she is a lot safer, her mic work is second-to-none, and a reason why she continues to be in championship contention. In fact, she is probably one of the best current talkers in the entire industry, regardless of gender.
That is why this match compels. It features two of the best female workers in the world, and Bliss would help to promote it with her exceptional mic work. Additionally, she understands in-ring psychology quite well, so she can definitely hold her own, and may even steal a victory here against two superior wrestlers. Thus, this will not be a bathroom break, because it will be a good change-of-pace from the hard-hitting previous match, and the result can be quite unpredictable.
"Rebel vs. Rebel"
Tetsuya Naito vs. Bray Wyatt
Naito started out as a high-flying babyface in New Japan, but the audience saw him as a Tanahashi clone, and he was largely rebuffed. In fact, this backlash eventually humiliated him, when voters voted to have his IWGP Championship match with Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 8 happen before the Intercontinental Championship match, the secondary belt in the organization. After that, he went on an excursion to Mexico, and when he returned, he became a changed man. No longer does he care about the crowd, because in his mind, if they do not like him, he will reject them too. As a result, he started to take his time during his entrance into the ring, and a lot of times, he will take a beating and not fight back, until the time suits him. This ironically worked, and today, he is one of the most popular wrestlers for New Japan, despite his status as a heel.
Wyatt, the modern day backwoods preacher, sees through this farcade, after their battle in the Million Dollar tournament. He believes Naito to be a hypocrite, because this pre-emptive rejection comes from a need to be loved. That is why Naito continues to chase for championships, even if he throws it around like garbage. As a result, he, like with John Cena before, decides to cut through the deceit, and expose him for who he is. Thus, during the tournament, and even afterwards, he continued to play mind games with Naito, and eventually, enticed him to a match.
This match will not only be a war between the leaders of two fraction, but it will also be one that pits the modern day rebel who wishes to change the status quo, against the one who only wants to burn everything down. Their promos will be epic and the key selling point, but the complete contrast in a high-flying style and a power style, respectively, can have unexpected chemistry. In fact, this may steal the match.

12-Men Tag Match
"For Control of Million Dollar Corp."
The Million Dollar Corporation (IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, and King Kong Bundy) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil, Bushi, and Sanada) vs. Chaos (Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Barreta) and Yoshi-Hashi w/ Gedo) vs. The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) and Decay (Abyss w/ Rosemary)
After a battle between two leaders of the leading fractions, it becomes a good lead-in to an all-out war between four of the main fractions on the roster. Los Ingobernable de Japan, Chaos and the Wyatt Family, in an alliance with Decay, because of their similarities, but mainly to fill the numbers, will battle for the chance to control the Million Dollar Corporation, their main reason to enter the tournament in the first place. The Million Dollar Corporation, meanwhile, is in a fight for survival.
While this is a match between undercard wrestlers, because their leaders were all preoccupied, it does give them all a chance to show, at a relatively high place on the card. Los Ingobernable’s three members are all well-versed in 3-men tag matches, as they have won the 6-men tag belt numerous times, while The Million Dollar Corporation and The Wyatt Family all have powerful and large wrestlers on their side, who can change the complexion of the match in a moments’ notice. While Chaos employs smaller wrestlers, Roppongi Vice have good chemistry with one another, as they won the jr. Heavyweight tag team championships numerous times, and Yoshi-Hashi is a proficient wrestler. They also have Gedo on the side, which could give them an edge. Plus, with multi-man tag matches, people’s weaknesses can be hidden, so this could be a good and captivating match, due to the high stakes involved.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Ted DiBiase
(w/ Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre jr., Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer), El Desperado (aka Kyosuke Mikami), Taichi, Takashi Iizuka and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) as lumber jacks)
After the previous match is over, the masked men reappeared, and promptly cleared the ring of the exhausted wrestlers. They also returned with DiBiase in tow, and throw him into the ring. Then, the members took off their disguises, and it turned out to be Minoru Suzuki and his group, Suzuki-gun. Finally, it became clear why he only came with Sabre jr., and why he simply left, despite his reputation as a hot head, and the man with the worst personality in the world.
As Suzuki took to the mic, he simply demands a match with DiBiase, and add in the stipulation that whoever wins, will become the new Chairman of the Million Dollar Corporation, and the loser will retire, and leave the business forever. DiBiase, with his backups gone, and surrounded by his enemies, had no choice but to agree to this lumber jack match. In the meantime, Russo came out, and tried to stop the match, because it happened earlier than he had planned, which revealed that he was the mastermind behind the whole deal, but members of Suzuki-gun simply beat him down, and tossed him away.
While DiBiase is known more for his gimmick, he is also quite a technical wrestler who is one of the best to never hold the main championship in the WWF. Suzuki, in the meantime, is one of the toughest fighters in the world, who is also one of the pioneers of MMA in Japan, and one of the greatest grapplers in the world. Add to the fact that they both uses a sleeper hold as a finisher, and this match could be surprising technical affair. What will happen between a great wrestler who is not afraid to bend the rules, especially now with his career at stake, and a legitimate fighter who does not care for the rules, and does what he wants?[/spoil]
#1 Contender for World Championship
"Ace vs. Ace"
Seth Rollins vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Tanahashi is the John Cena of New Japan. For more than a decade, he has carried the company on his back, and his efforts brought the company out of a depressed state, one that borders on bankruptcy, and into a brighter tomorrow. Quite simply, he is the face of New Japan, an undisputed “ace”. Against him, Rollins is the best wrestler of the WWE, and while the company pushes Roman Reigns before him, he is well-loved by the audience, and he is basically the “ace” in their eyes. While Rollins finished a close second to Okada in the Million Dollars tournament, he managed to insert himself into the title picture, and a match against Tanahashi, for the #1 Contender.
This will be a match between the two aces of the biggest company in the world. They matches up very well, because their movesets are eerily similar, as they both uses the frog splash and the sling blade, but most importantly, they are known for their incredible workrates, so this will likely be an incredible match. It will also be able to calm people down from the previous twist, and keep them heated for the main event.
World Championship
Shawn Michaels vs. The Great Muta
This is a match between the two legends of the industry, and there is nowhere more fitting, than the main event of the show, and for the World Championship. Michaels is arguably the greatest of all-times, who owns two of the five 5-stars matches in WWE, and innovated how a ladder match can be performed in North America. Muta, meanwhile, has one of the greatest and influential gimmicks of all-times, and he is the first Japanese star to be very over with the North American audience. They are also known for their longevity, because they still continued to perform at a high level, even in the late 40s.
This is, unofficially, a great versus great match. Michaels, in his battle with The Undertaker, showed that he knows how to battle a supernatural character, and Muta, with his vast experience and well-versed in-ring psychology, knows how to put on any match. When given the freedom to perform any type of match, these creative veterans will put on a great show
