Unfortunately for Oiler fans JP is looking like a bust.

You guys are living on hope now and the fact he was a 4th OA pick.

You guys remember what your 1st OA Nail Yakupov returned you when he was traded? Yeah me neither.

But thank Google.

Pochiro and a 3rd was the return for your 1st OA bust...

Habs offer you Alex Grenier and a 4th for your 4th OA bust.
Yak was 22/23 when he was traded. Oilers can hang onto Pulju fir a couple more yrs and still get a shitty player like Grenier or Hudon for him.

I'm sceptical about Puljujarvi. It would be hard to give up a lot for him. Plus the Habs have guys coming up that they'll want to have a look at - maybe in an after training camp move, but I don't really see a fit.

Can't judge Lehkonen by his point production. He's a good two way player and poor man's Jere Lehtinen.

I think the trade could work with Pulju and Lehkonen straight up but then Montreal would be generous probably. Edmonton adds a conditional very late round pick to balance it out?

Sooooo Alzner + Hudon/Lehkonen for Lucic + Puljujarvi. Sounds good, thanks.

That would be completely stupid from Habs stand point.

Drouin
Domi
Gallagher
Danault
Kotka
Tatar
Lehkhonen

Would you like losing one of them to Seattle because you ahd to protect Milan F***in Lucic? Cause that's what you'll have to do...

That's the point? If the mediocre players we have aren't able to do anything, how would bringing in more fix the problem?

How's Lehkhonen a mediocre player?

Funny cause even w/ a all time low shooting % on his part this year, he'd still be 4th best scoring forward. Unfortunately for Lehkhonen, he's stuck behing btter LW er (Drouin and Tatar)

-14, 9 points in 46 games... he's a bust for a 4th OA, I would be pissed if we gave a 4th for him let alone any roster players..
Seriously? You don't trade a 4th round pick for a player with his pedigree and is only 20? Every GM in the league makes that trade.

Lekh is not "spare part".... suggest you look his advanced stats, amazing 200ft and pk player that just needs to work on his finish to score 50+

I would take the risk:

Lehkonen for Puljujarvi

If Lehkonen next year have 20 goals + , Habs would receive a 2nd pick
If Puljujarvi next year have 20 goals + , Oilers would receive a 2nd pick

Well, you can't be drafted 4 oa on a deep draft without having great talent. Just like Drouin. How old is Drouin? And he is just beginning getting to his real potential.
Droin showed his real potential in the playoffs of 2015/16 where he scored 14 points in 17 games ranking 3rd on his team. Followed it up with 53 in 73 the next year. He was 20 yrs old in 2016. I point this out as a matter of fact and not to discredit Puljujarvis' potential.

As far as trading him for Hudon, as the centre piece, any GM would be a fool to do so. Puljujarvi is 20 yrs old has excellent size, good skater, and good shot but needs work on his decision making and his defensive play. Late bloomers aren't that common but do exist, St. Louis and Robert Lang come to mind. Got to give him a couple more seasons before you discard him.
