Guessing they watch the waiver wire closely this weekend.
I really hope so... there's a number of guys who are very questionable at the NHL level looking to draw in as it sits.Guessing they watch the waiver wire closely this weekend.
Of course they do.
It just dawned on me that Antoine Rousell is gone.Bummer. He's an eminently likeable guy. I didn't see him play but based on what y'all are saying, this was probably the right move.
Also, I believe this leaves Alexandre Texier as the only active French player in the NHL. I could be wrong though, I don't know the status of Benoit-Olivier Groulx.
Avs are just waiting for the Sabres to put Jost on waivers !!!!
Is he really that much worse than the current 4C options the Avs have right now?Avs are just waiting for the Sabres to put Jost on waivers !!!!
Of course they do.
Of the regular players we'd expect to make the Avs roster this season:
- 11 players have won a Stanley Cup
- 9 players have played 9 NHL seasons or more
- 17 players have played 5 NHL seasons or more
The Avs do not need more "veteran leadership" or "veteran presence in the room".
Apparently he signed with Carolina for the minimum - I guess I missed that.Avs are just waiting for theSabresHurricanes to put Jost on waivers !!!!
Probably not worst but not better. So they'll keep the contract spot for a waiver wire pickup that COULD be better. Is he really that much worse than the current 4C options the Avs have right now?
Huh… I member a bunch of leadership comments and how it was lacking with basically the same group….Of course they do.

Hmm... I remember a bunch of age comments and how it means the window is closing due to the players getting old.Huh… I member a bunch of leadership comments and how it was lacking with basically the same group….

I don't see how that has been proven wrong yet.Hmm... I remember a bunch of age comments and how it means the window is closing due to the players getting old.
Cool, good to know, so that leaves Texier, whom I believe will easily make the Blooz roster if I read correctly.Groulx signed with Rangers for the season, but was cut from the camp and sent to AHL.
Not surprising in some ways. I didn't think he looked very good in his final year here so I can't imagine he's looked good this run.
A bit surprising they didn't keep him as sort of a 13th forward type and veteran presence in the room. Could have been a key motivator for these guys to get him a cup in his final year similar to how Cogs provided that spark in 2022.
Curious what they do with 4C now. I dont hate Ivanx2 but I'd like to think they could find better in waivers tbh.
I especially hate that Kelly is looking to be the 3C now as well btw.
People are speculating he'll be used as a top six winger while Lehky and Nuke are out.I must have missed wtf happened to 4x4?
It’s less speculation and more about him being used as Mitts’ winger at practice.People are speculating he'll be used as a top six winger while Lehky and Nuke are out.
Personally I don't think so.
My guess is sometime between middle and late novemberIf Landeskog does come back this year, when do you guys realistically see it happening? Feels like a pipe dream at this point. Also, is Lehkonen close to Being ready? I saw he’s skating in a non contact jersey.
