PTO for Emery

Not sure what all the negative comments are for. Ray Emery had a couple of very good seasons, and quite recently too.
 
I don't think he was much of a sideshow for the Hawks in 2013. Sounds more like the main event to me.
 
He's probably on his last american pro hockey legs and older now, if he sideshows it up, he's toast. He may be toast anyway.

He was great in Philly a few years ago before his hip exploded. Since then, his lateral movement has been terrible.
 
Worst side to side movement in NHL IMO

I don't see anymore NHL games for Ray ,, He bombed badly in TB this camp/preseason while on tryout

Just doesn't have physical ability anymore

He's on a PTO for the Reign filling in while Bartosak is injured. He is not by any means an NHL option for the Kings.

On this note the Kings certainly are running out of goalies. Bartosak will be in NHL next year or the year after. The only pro candidate at that point will be Alec Dillon. The Kings need to find a college goalie or something this year or face having zero prospects in the pro system.

Funny how quickly the goalie stable gets full or emptied.

Didn't Ray have like hip issues? That would be murder on your side to side as BWC points out. Dude's a battler to keep rolling through it regardless.

He had avascular necrosis, a hip disease in which the femur deteriorates because of the lack of blood flow. This is the same condition that effectively ended Bo Jackson's NFL career. Very painful condition and when they diagnosed him, they felt his career was done Major props to him for a long and painful rehab and the pain he plays in.

And as pointed out, AHL would be his ceiling, not NHL caliber anymore.
At least he'll be CA, close to his buddy Jeff Carter. Razor and Carter were pretty tight when they played for the Flyers.
