Once the PlayStation came along Nintendo's grip on Disney and and the movie studios was not as hard anymore. But which license games were the very best on the platform?

Did you enjoy it? I remember the ps2 game was ridiculously good.

The Spider-Man game on PSX was an original story based on the comics characters (as they were presented at the time), with some influence from the awesome 90s cartoon as far as music and voice-work. Its a ton of fun with a lot of fan service, especially in the metric shit-ton of collectables: costumes, comic covers, concept art, etc

Holy moly, the rugrats games seem decent, watched this for a while:

It really was a pretty good game, I played it a lot growing up. There was a lot of different mechanics and interesting gameplay, and some of the mini-games were fun. And it was true to the source content with tons of references from popular episodes. If you liked Rugrats when it aired you'd have liked this game. For obvious reasons I'm sure it doesn't age super well.

Personally one of my favorites was Star Wars: Dark Forces. It was a typical Doom clone, but it was my first introduction to that style of games.
