COMMANDERS: Roster | Depth Chart | Stats

The New England Patriots will close out the 2024 preseason on the road against the Washington Commanders. It will be the 25th preseason meeting between the two teams. The game will be broadcast on prime time on NBC's Sunday Night Football. It will be the Patriots first prime time preseason game since hosting Tampa Bay in Week 3 of the 2013 preseason. The Patriots hosted Washington in the regular season last year on Nov. 5 at Gillette Stadium, a 20-17 Commanders victory.
The New England Patriots and the Washington Commanders will meet for the 24th time in the preseason, with New England holding a 15-8 advantage in the previous 23 contests. The only other teams the Patriots have played more in the preseason is the New York Giants with 31 and the Philadelphia Eagles with 25 preseason meetings.

The Patriots' 15 preseason victories over Washington are their highest total over any preseason opponent, with the Patriots' 14 victories over Philadelphia second.

The Patriots and Commanders last played in a preseason game in the first game of the 2021 preseason when the Patriots prevailed with a 22-13 win at Gillette stadium. This week's game will be Washington's fourth visit to Gillette stadium for a preseason game.

The Patriots and Washington have met in the regular season 12 times with Washington holding a 7-5 advantage. The Commanders beat the Patriots, 20-17, in the last regular season meeting on Nov. 5, 2023 at Gillette Stadium.

TELEVISION: This week's game will be broadcast by NBC and can be seen in the Boston area on NBC 10 Boston. Mike Tirco will handle play-by-play duties with Cris Collinsworth and as the color analyst. Melissa Stark will work from the sidelines. The game will be produced by Robert Hyland and directed by Drew Esocoff.

LOCAL RADIO: 98.5 The Sports Hub is the flagship station for the Patriots Radio Network. A complete listing of the network's 33 stations can be found here. Play-by-play broadcaster Bob Socci will call the action along with former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak, who will provide color analysis. The games are produced by Marc Cappello.

Sounds like all 4 QB's will get some reps tonight. I'd expect Jacoby & Maye to get a majority of the series, with Zappe & Milton getting 1-2 series each.

Osborn needs to go up with 2 hands, that was a great ball from Brissett

They absolutely cannot start Maye behind this line until they are cohesive. At this point they are not.

Clown show. Why the f*** is the LG expected to block right edge rusher when these guys are barely competent.

Drake Maye could in fact be legit, very impressive drive. Overcame a couple fumbled snaps (Andrews downright offended on the sideline lol)

Kevin Harris making a play I didn’t know he had in him

That would have been a pick 6 if Mac Jones threw that

I am only going off the box score where it looks like you'd have to think long and hard about Maye being the starting QB. But I also don't know what the fumbles were a result of.

8/9 for 93 and a TD though

The plan to sit Maye was all well and good but I think it's a tougher decision now. A shame they didn't do more to address OL though.
