All eyes on Pots tonight! They're giving him the opportunity. He's taking it so far! Eyes on Beecher too! No injuries! Let's get it!

Pretty legit lineup for Washington tonight. Get the TVR vs. JVR matchup lol.

Like the lines. Gotta figure JVR-Zacha-Pasta is a lock for an opening night line, and I really hope Lucic-Beecher-Lauko is the opening night 4th. I'm going to be very disappointed if it's not.

Excited to see Poitras with a legit talent in Marchand. Plus seeing how he handles the back to back. I think he's earned at least the 9 game tryout, but I could see him going straight back to juniors so we don't risk losing a player to waivers that we don't have to. Tough call.

Zboril needs a big game. He's definitely being challenged by Lorhei and Mitchell for a spot, and his higher cap hit makes him a pretty appealing trade/waiver candidate to clear more space. Keeping Mitchell as the 7th vs. Zboril saves $360k, which can be banked for the deadline. Plus you'd hate to lose one of the pieces from the Hall trade to waivers.

Okay, those morning rushes have me legitimately excited for tonight.

Lucic, please for the love of God keep Tom Wilson in check. We already lost Judon and Gonzo this week my and heart can't take a kid getting injured by some bone headed brute.

My mindset going into pre-season was not to get my hopes up on guys like Poitras/Lohrei making the team out of camp because it just doesn't really happen with the Bruins. With that said, to see that management wants him playing in back to back games is an eyebrow raiser (in a good way).

Really surprised that Merkulov is not in the lineup? Thought he played well in his last game as he got into the flow as the game went on.

Excited to see Lohrei once again!

I also thought Merkulov got better as his second game progressed, but probably not enough to earn another look. He and Poitras are essentially battling for the same spot, and Matt has simply jumped him in the queue because he's already thinking the game at a higher and faster level. Unlucky for Merk, he didn't super impress at camp, but I wouldn't say he damaged his rep either. He's had another taste and all he can do is head back to Providence, work hard and hope he earns another chance down the track.
