How are the prospect goalies doing now? Only ones I really know of is Woll and Scott not the other 2 Russian ones. Kallgren I wouldn’t call a prospect since he’s already 25. But can’t find any updates on the goalies in the system.

I had a lot of hope for Ian Scott but the poor guy can't stay healthy. They say if you even look at the guy the wrong way he'll pull his groin. The jury is still out on Woll, he's very gifted athletically, but technically he's got a lot to learn.

Unfortunately goalie prospects and Maple Leafs isn't something that mingles well. I'd love to be like the Rangers who pull superstar goalies in the late rounds of drafts.

Well we've got a handy-dandy third round pick to spend this draft...Who are the big dogs amongst the goalie crop this year?

(Haven't had time to research.)

I think that's knd if what we've been doing with drafting the Russians. Getting Euro goalies that play and develop in pro leagues. Lundqvist, Rinne, Shesterkin for example. Trying to hit the lottery on one of them.

I'm not opposed to it. Especially since we can hold their rights longer and not have a log jam over here.

Isn't this really a problem that goes back like forever!!! they have the money and resources now more than ever; they need to fix it!

Petruzzelli starting to show some signs he might be legit, but we really don't know yet.

But he's the youngest of the AHL guys (just turned 23), and the tallest (6'5"), was nicely over .920 his last 2yrs in college and this year in the ECHL, and now is off to a super hot start in the AHL (.940 in only 3gms).

Still say he's a longshot, but he's got a chance.

He's on an AHL contract, so not Leafs property. On the plus side, he has another year remaining that could be wiped out if the Leafs chose to sign him and let Hutch and Scott walk in the summer.

Seems like we're a little overstocked in the junk goalie department. The games played numbers for all our Marlies guys feels unproductively low, but I guess that's the consequence of carrying a third stringer you stash in the AHL and not necessarily having a designated heir apparent you want to focus your resources and time on.
