It's actually a pretty good game for Evangelista to watch. That cut back he does every single time he carries the puck down the wing? That move is Mackinnon's whole schtick, just with a lot more speed, and also the occasional threat of continuing the drive, taking the puck to the net, or shooting.

Evangalista viewed as not meeting staff expectations or his own standards so sitting. The opportunity for him to work it out during practices is past as the team enters a prolonged string of every other day games with a couple of back to backs once we get to December.

I know his stat line. When we start getting the "exactly what we saw" comments here its rarely focusing on the playoff performances or his 26 goal season ... it's the low production, injury shortened seasons like 2022-23.
