Prediction from a RED WINGS fan...KINGS will win the CUP '16

I've been watching hockey since the late 70's & grew up an Islander from from '77-'86....Moved to the south & became a Wings fan in 1990, so I've watched both my teams win a lot... 2012 after seeing the 1st 2 WCQF's games, I knew the Kings would win the 2012 cup, I should've posted my thoughts then...that was an amazing run. 2014 was special in its own way b/c of all the comebacks in the 1st 3 rounds. They are the only team I like in the West going back to the Gretzky years, unless they're playing my Red Wings.

I rarely watch the western conf. anymore (b/c of the Wings being in the East now), but try to watch a clash of the titans match (Kings, Hawks, Blues). I liked the Lecavalier & Schenn pickups as well. I was hoping that if the Wings didn't get Hamhuis for a reasonable price, that the Kings could to solidify their D.

That being said, I know the Wings may not even make the PO's this year, but they won't win the cup, or maybe not even 1 or 2 rounds, so I am predicting & hoping the KINGS to WIN THE CUP in 2016...not b/c of the every other year thing they've had with the Hawks, but b/c they are rested, motivated, big, skilled, well coached etc.

The Hawks are too small up front, Hossa is on the decline/aging & Quick is more clutch than Crawford. If you guys can eliminate Keith & Seabrook, you should win in 5-6 games in the WCF. The SCF will go 6-7 games vs. WSH of course. Anisimov is no match for Carter, and Kopitar is better than Toews(good, but over-rated). Lucic needs to put Kane through the end boards, I'm so tired of that punk & their goal song. The Hawks have been good/great & very lucky in all their cup runs, that luck ends this year. Hopefully they face the Blues in the 1st round, as Dallas is very unproven & have subpar D & goaltending.

Yeah normally I'd say 'burn the jinx thread' but the Red Wings and Kings have very little bearing on each other at this point so oh well

Besides, it's balanced out by how much everyone else thinks we suck.
