U.S Czech Rep. Is too much 50/50 couldn’t pick a winner. Leaning Czech though, home ice Zacha and Pastrnak added.

Canada vs Slovakia - I'm going Slovakia as a big upset out of nowhere.
Germany vs Swiss - I'm taking Germany despite the Swiss being the better team and I'd argue Fiala is one of the best forwards in the tourney. He's been unbelievable. Germans are well coached and can really annoy a team in a quarter.
Finland vs Sweden - I'm picking the Sisu kings.. nothing has gone right for them and Sweden have been amazing - so watch the Finn's pull a rabbit out of their asses here
Czechs vs USA - I'm picking Czechs because I am their number 1 Stan
Now if I was betting money
Canada, Sweden, US and Switzerland
I honestly feel this is the most competitive set of quarter finals in the tournmant in a very long time! I picked 4 long shots and it doesn't even look insane.

Part of it is that the US had their hard games early, so they're really going to have to elevate after playing easier competition.

The U.S. had tough games to start the tournament and then finished against weak teams.
It will be interesting to see how it affects them.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they blew the Czechs out of the rink.
They've got the firepower to do it.
But I think the Czechs will show up in front of their fans though.

I guess? They're the 3 seed and the US are the 2 seed?
In reality, I don't think so.
The US has more NHL talent but the Czechs have the home ice advantage. Pretty even I think.
No I would have them as favoured over the USA this year.
Especially at home in Prague.

I wouldn't go that far, Americans have a clear advantage in talent and while it so far hasn't been a perfect tournament for them they've played some pretty good hockey here at times.

I see us as the underdog personally. Despite pasta and such.. US forwards are damn good. Their D is much better than ours. I give us the goalie edge.
I said before I'd be happy for US if they win gold here. I may be regretting saying that lol
