Just wante to comment and say this shouldnt count in a way. Bettman screwed USA and Canada. I feel like the political unrest in the world is why he didnt want our NHL guys going.

In anycase its not a fair assesment of talent since both North American squads cannot ice their best. While Euro teams cant have NHL guys either they have a far bigger pool to pick from. As such no clue on the podium this could be ugly for both Canada and the states

As such no clue on the podium this could be ugly for both Canada and the states

Canada's roster includes good players sourced from all the top european leagues (i.e.. the same pool that every nation has to contend with). They won't be a clear cut favourite like in 2014, but they've got as good a chance to podium as anyone.

I'd say "Russia" and Sweden are the cream of the crop, but don't count anybody out.

5th: Canada - meh roster, not bad not good,is enough for 5th place finish
6th: Switzerland - surprisingly strong roster, i thought of putting them 3rd...
7th: Slovenia - i like Slovenia's roster, i really do
8th: Korea - the home team kinder egg surprise

9th: Czech Republic - strong forward selection
(even without Jagr),will fail because of sucky D's&G's

10th: Slovakia - old,not gold, really cant say much more about team Slovakia
11th: Sweden - probably worst Team Sweden Olympic roster ever,
with mediocre coaching

12th: Finland - Marjamäki,Marjamäki,Marjamäki also; weird forward choices
