Solid game for Canada, no glaring issues. I really liked what I saw from Roy, and both goaltenders also look solid. I've defended Dubois but he really needs to do something.

Yeah, and Tripod might have sold me on his lack of physicality not being an issue.

It's a fair point, I just see Sanheim as a little soft for a WHL Dman, but the NHL is also an evolving game. The kid does have skills, but I think against a heavy forecheck and when the game gets nasty, he tends to disappear.

Having said that, pair him up with a guy like Morin who can play a nastier game and you can likely mitigate it.

Provy Myers
Morin Ghost
Sanheim Gudas

:)

Give him a body guard, Sanheim would do great with Nurse. Nurse has the wheels to keep up and he's ****ing nasty.

Gudas will do.

Lol...we are playing with AMac, Steit, MDZ, Manning on our roster. I think Sanheim will do just fine.

Agreed on Nurse though. Some have soured on him but he is still very, very young and can skate.

He took a massive step this year. Anyone who watched him saw it, he worked with Adam Oates this offseason on his puck handling. His underlying numbers vastly improved, sucks he hurt his leg.

Kept a close eye on Dubois tonight as I was watching, and what am I missing with this guy?

#3 overall pick considered to be a very good two-way player... I just didn't see it tonight

He just isn't playing as good as he was last year, for reasons, I'm not sure anyone other than himself would be able to really answer that question.

Really hoping he shows his worth once the tournament starts, because he didn't just fluke his way to a 99 point season last year, he was a dominant force in all three zones while playing a physical game (100+ PIMs).

He has it in him.

I don't like his position on the powerplay at all (net front presence, that just isn't his game and im surprised ducharme has him there, he's a big kid but he also has a very accurate and hard shot), he has set up a few good chances on the powerplay that haven't been converted but outside that he doesn't seem to have any chemistry with strome in my opinion.

ya, feeling good about the Speers - Cirelli duo, and the goaltending has been solid. And of course Jost is exactly what I thought he would be.

Dubois is a concern...if he doesn't find it, then I hope the coach recognizes it and makes the necessary adjustments.

I am really glad a number of folks are picking up on the play of Dubois
Major disappointment. He is solidly running under the draft position of last year.
He looked extremely good in the first QMJHL- Russia game and this solidified his position BUT he is not playing very well now which counts the most
I also am not impressed by Mac Leod and both these players are weak links right now.
