after going 0 for 6 on the PP tonight I got to wondering why in the hell do we deploy certain players on the PP and why we don’t use certain players on the PP.

Please try and make me understand what I’m missing here.

Kevin Hayes:
total time on ice 19:00
PP time on ice 9 seconds!!!!

Jimmy Vesey:
total time on ice 18:33
PP time on ice 12 seconds!!!!!

Here’s where this coaching staff has completely lost me.

David Desharnais:
Total time on ice 15:13
PP time on ice 5:28

What has this guy done to deserve that amount of time? Is it AV giving his good ol’ French Canadian boy a little extra? Is there something I don’t know about? I’m going to go look at the past games to see what the the numbers look like as well.

Tony DeAngelo
PP time of 6:01
I get it. He’s an offensive Dman but I haven’t been impressed. At all.

Holden and Skjei both had 7 seconds of PP time. I’m not the biggest fan of Holden but he put up respectable numbers last year. I also understand that thinking Skjei putting up last years totals might be a reach. BUT if they aren’t getting a chance then how can they repeat last seasons numbers?

Please enlighten me even if it makes me look like an idiot.
