Looks like the "special" designs - like Finland's Nordic Cross and Russia's double-headed eagle - we saw at the Olympics are gone and some teams like Canada just brought back their old, traditional uniforms. Unlike in Olympic hockey, teams are once again allowed to use their hockey associations' official crests on the jerseys.

As much as that new Finnish white is cookie cutter a la Latvia, Austria, etc, I quite like it. I wonder if the Czechs will have forgone their flag jersey as well? Disappointed that Canada went back to the old jerseys, if only because of their horrible collars, especially on the red. They should have went with a more adaptable look for the Olympics, where the logo could have been switched up, like the States. I guess now I know why I got a Canuck Sochi jersey for $30 the other week.

My favourite Finland jersey since 2005.

The blue one is basically the Sochi one with some modifications. The coat of arms replaced by the usual hockey crest of Finland. And the vertical stripe of the Finnish flag is removed from the sleeve, resulting to two white stripes.

The white one has reversed colours to the blue one, i.e. white with blue stripes on the sleeve.

I really like this. The navy blue on the shoulders suits well with the pants and brings some color. All-white or all-blue would look a bit lame. All I'd change would be having the two stripes also on the hem of the jersey, like in Canada's jersey.

I have to say, "Italia" would've looked 100 times better in white instead of dark blue..

Otherwise, those would be my favorite home- and away jerseys! I'll just stay with the away jersey now
