We didn’t lose because of lack of defence or injuries. We lost because our leader came out lazy and the team followed. This was on the players.

I’m happy with that result considering Leafs had their full lineup, Canadian media crowned division winner.....Jets missing top 4 D, missing top line winger, 3rd line winger, on the road. I’m happy with a one goal game plus a EN. I thought it was going to be ugly score before the game something like 5-1 or 6-1 Leafs

Wheeler is usually a guy you want to have on in the final minutes of play. He nearly gave the Leafs the puck within shooting range of our empty net without really being pressured a few different times.

He has a history of starting the season poorly and catching fire so hopefully that's a thing...
