Kakko is surely underrated at the moment and he could probably be a good top6 in another environment. Look at the ice time and latest stats and boxscore against the Jets. They, the Rangers, sure love to give major minutes to some with a clear - in the +/-. Panarin and Ziba are getting older but their staff still insist being boneheads and giving them 10 minutes more playing time in a game. I*iotic.

Kakko is a 3rd line forward, if he can't score in NY, why do you think he'd score in Philly?
He has shown flashes, so a change in location might be good for him.

But TK is a legitimate 1st line scoring forward. It would take far more to pry him lose (and NY doesn't have the cap room for his new contract).

Something on the order of Hathaway and Brink/Foerster might be doable.

Aside from Kakko being mediocre at best, not wanting to see TK on the Rangers for the next 8 years, them not being able to take on a contract of his size anyway, and the likelihood that 15+ teams would beat that offer handily, sure.

Flyers have zero interest in moving TK. Rangers could offer Lafreen whatever and Miller. Flyers would still say no. There is no price tag what he brings to the Flyers and their culture.
