How much do you guys think the tickets should be?
Best seats 100 bucks, without the need to have to buy all the games. Cheapest seat 50 bucks.

Non Canada games best seats 40 bucks cheapest 10 bucks

That’s when the games are in Canada. If they only come to an area once every 5 -10 years there is no better city than Toronto.

many of the folks on this board are not technologically challenged.

many understand supply and demand.

tickets are selling for as much as 75% off face value.

how much cheaper can they be?

I don't buy the argument "if the tickets were cheaper I'd go". Each and every person who said those words on this thread could go to a game and pay way under face value...I don't buy it.

Unfortunately it is the product being sold. Not the price being sold..

I just pulled $6 dollar USD tickets online for tonights Canada game.

It is not the price.
Yeah the price is cheap now but when they first came out I can guarantee they were atleast 10 times that price. See people like to plan for these things people arent just gonna buy tickets the night of the game and go.

I went in 2011, but the 1400 miles between me and where the games are today is a far bigger issue than the cost of the seats.

buffalo has 3 major sports events going on this holiday weekend

-important Bills game
-Sabres winter classic
-USA/CAN outdoor game

guess which one is getting pushed to the bottom of the priority list... terrible planning all around for this event.
Why host an outdoor USA/CAN the same year the Sabres are playing in the Winter Classic... and then not even have the Sabres play in Buffalo?? They're fighting each other for customers.

I'll be in NYC for the Classic all weekend.. would've loved to go to the USA/CAN game Friday. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I don't see the hype in the world juniors nearly as much as I did like 5-7 years ago. Maybe it's an aging thing since I first started watching when I was still in elementary school but now that I am older than the players and an adult I haven't had the same passion for it.

At this point I care more about watching the Leafs prospects than Team Canada itself.

If this was in Toronto I’d be there, even at these prices to see Canada play. Not traveling to Buffalo though. And I’d pay 40 bucks for a platinum seat to see Belarus and Switzerland. Unless I had to work.

To begin with I don’t even have a passport, never had one. Although I’ve been to Buffalo that was before you needed a passport.

I thought Buffalo was a hockey market, more of a Sabres market I guess.

It sounds like tickets are insanely priced. Buffalo is not a wealthy city by all counts. Throw in weather and over saturation and there you go. Sounds like they need a ten year hiatus from that area of the world.

Here would be my prime locations for the next few years:

Copenhagen
Portland
Denver
medium sized Russian city
Quebec City
Minneapolis/Duluth
Zurich/Bern
Kelowna/Kamloops/Penticton
Moncton/Charlottetown
Seattle

Copenhagen will get the real Worlds this year and that will be spectacular, with thousands upon thousands of travelling fans.

I am curious to hear tonight's attendance. Looks bad when there is more blue than red, and I am not talking about blue jerseys, blue seats :(

Picked up first row BLR-SWI tickets for $10, and had a blast. I honestly think a lot of people in Buffalo don't know it's going on/saw ticket prices 6 months ago and don't realize you can get them for a fraction now.

Edit: At least that's what I get from talking to Sabres fans at work.

Also anyone know where they get the attendance number on the wiki page? I'm guessing it's # of tickets sold not actual attendance.

Which is why I'm saying those who aren't going because "tickets are too expensive" are talking through their butts.
