This is slightly off-topic, but the author does cover the Kings, so it's not entirely unrelated...

It's July 10...there's roughly nine long grueling, mind-blowing weeks left to go until the start of National Hockey League training camps, a time when hockey fans all over will rejoice because they have their game back.

But what to do until then? Playing NHL2014 or watching replays of 2014 Stanley Cup Playoff games over and over gets old, very, very fast and is very unfulfilling.

Picking up a good hockey book can definitely fill the void. One such book, even though it has a noticeable flaw (one that should definitely not dissuade anyone from reading it) is Pond Hockey: Rediscovering The Game, a novel by Brian Kennedy, Ph.D., an author, scholar and freelance writer covering the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.

Highly recommended reading! Want to know more about the book? Here's the scoop...
