I find it very suspicious that both Sebastien Bordeleau and Jacob Perreault both are Canadian born players cannot play for the USA. I will never believe the covid story and the passport explanation on both players. It is not surprising to me how Michigan team mate Johnson could play.... I have lived in this hockey crazed country for too long and seen too many suspicious things play out over the years to just believe. The power and money from hockey Canada over the years have made things happen too often. We have to stop being so co vicious when it comes to hockey and give other countries a chance, we have the largest hockey playing population of 40 million people compare to others, everywhere you go there is a rink.
Note: Hope i don't get banned for this post but i have to speak the truth.

What about all the players that decided to play for team USA (dual citizenship etc.) and then played for team USA?

Big conspiracy eh... don't think so.

Bordeleau is retired , and has played for France, and Perrault played U17 for Canada, so not sure if he’s eligible.
Canada wanted Owen Power last year, but Michigan wouldn’t release him.

Perreault, if he gets his American passport issues settled, can still opt to play for the U.S. if he wants, the U17 tournament is not a IIHF sanctioned event, therefore it doesn't count. You have to play an official IIHF tournament to get locked in to a NT.

Thanks, that’s why I wasn’t sure, I knew there was a caveat.
I don’t get the Bordeleau one, unless there’s another one.

He got the names wrong. Sebastien is a retired hockey player. his son Thomas, born in '02.is who the OP is talking about.

He. And if people from USA would know, what brings the future:
Source

North America has seen a dramatic shift in power. The United States and Canada have established a system whereby American citizens are employed temporarily in Canada – similar to the Mexican-American bracero program utilised over a century ago. This is due to both America's disastrous economic situation and Canada's ongoing rise* as a superpower. In any case, large numbers of Americans are moving to Canada permanently whether legal or not. This is creating a great deal of friction between the two countries. Canada's rise has prompted some to call for more aggressive action by the United States, possibly even war. Though not widely supported, the situation is exacerbated by growing violence originating in American enclaves throughout Canada.

Just wait. Rising global temperatures will only benefit Canada. As we sift through the American masses hoping to enter the country, those with the potential to add to the hockey talent pool will be selected first. Mandatory breeding stations and forced hockey registration to follow.

Thomas Bordeleau was born in the U.S. but never played hockey there until the age of 16, having grown up in Switzerland and Canada.

Politics in the world junior hockey championship has raised it's ugly head again. Watching the games yesterday I couldn't help but notice that the hockey rinks are way too small for the bigger players, just not enough room to skate. This is the major reason i don't watch the NHL ... I look forward to only watching only international hockey featuring the different size rinks where guys could be free of the clutching and grabbing and show off their talent more.

This is was a political strong arm by hockey Canada again to give Canada an advantage by only playing on smaller rinks.. We all know that HC runs the international ice hockey federation. I hope the board will continue to let me speak the truth... I will have more to say...

Preach comrade, as all know that the IIHF has to be strong armed to hold the WJC in Canada. I'm very interested in hearing some truth for once!
