Obviously there are a lot of similarities between hockey and Pokémon, which made me wonder- which player would be which Pokémon? For me-

Claude Giroux=Charizard. Orange. Flyer, but then Ash freed him in the show and I assume he went to Florida.
Ovechkin= Slaking. Both big heavy hitters, just straight up.
Chara=Onix. Both are tall and good at defense.
Brad Marchand=Raticate. I mean, come on.
Jack Eichel=Ekans. You know why.

Do not forget that Slaking has the ability "Truant". This doesn't fit OV at all. Buzzwole seems like a better comparison.

Onix has crazy high defense, but literally no HP. For a player like Chara with such longevity, that seems contradictory.

Marchand is Rattata, not Raticate.

Eichel is Serperior. If you've watched the anime, you would totally get why I'm saying that (i.e. Ash's Snivy).
