He had to have requested it. Why would we trade him at all unless he wanted it. He was completely buriable in the press box or AHL.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was Army helping him out to get him a better scenery. And with Pittsburgh having injury issues on defense and POJ already knowing their system (and I think he use to live with Letang) it was just a deal that made sense for all three parties involved.

I was hoping POJ could replace Perunovich on the third pairing, but it turned out POJ wasn't even good enough for that. It's disappointing.

I was never that high on him, but it's too bad he's regressed so much. Maybe he was never that good to begin with and was propped up by the team surrounding him.
