Playoffs: who is your Dream & Nightmare divisional Matchup?

Considering 'conference' teams that are most likely to make the playoffs.

For me, I'd have to say the team I'd most like to face in the playoffs would be Washington
I dont think there is a team that we could possibly meet in the playoffs that would be a better match for our game.

The team I'd most hate to need to go through is the Rangers, Shesterkin is voodoo for us, and they are very pesky offensively.

irony is right now, in a 1-8 playoffs we play TB with the current points with the Rangers right on our heels.

I'm not confident in any of the options, but if I had to pick, I'd say Pittsburgh or Washington.

Neither Washington or Rangers are in our division.
 
It doesn't really matter who we play, we have to be able to beat whomever we play.

I am more concerned by how the Leafs play than I am who they play.

When the Leafs play their way, they can beat anyone.

We have already seen they can lose to anyone, so I'm more concerned by how we show up, and it will be more significant in success than any opponent we face.

The top 6 teams are all in one conference, it's a complete joke. Imagine having to beat 3 of the top 4 teams to be able to advance to a final opponent that is worse than all of them. Now imagine being in the Pacific division, where you can face teams that would never qualify in the Atlantic and face 3 of them.
 
Dream: Winning the Atlantic and facing a wild card team
Nightmare: Being a wild card team and having to face a division winner

My (hopefully realistic) dream has the Leafs starting the first round series against Tampa at home. I suppose that series kicking off in Tampa could qualify for nightmare status???
 
Tampa. We out played them last year when they had a stronger roster. Our roster has gotten stronger, we should be able to get through them. It would be a huge mental hurdle as well for this group.
 
Just about all the opponents lean nightmare.
but they are all beatable too.
