Are we gunna get the current team that easily loses 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 games in a row? Or are we gunna get the team that erased 0-3 series deficits that captured two Stanley Cups? Seriously. Management needs to create a cardboard cut-out of Darryl Sutter and put it behind the bench for the playoff run. Otherwise, it's going to be a very, VERY short run!!! No matter who our opponent is, I see the current team being swept away in the first round.....

I think they will be fine. Every year Jan/Feb they have a slump. Then the Grammies road trip happens and they pull it together. Now the last three years look bad but I believe this year the make it deep into the playoffs.

This team is heading closer to being out of the playoffs than in.You decide why it's not working.Mental?Roster?Coach?Ref's.

We have no choice but to hope they get hot at the end of the season.

This is our change in culture?? It's the same that it's always been: try to squeak into the playoffs and just hope.

They are done with Sharks, after Friday just 1 more with Ducks, and a couple with Calgary, they have played Oilers and Yotes only 1 time so far . Sharks have played Yotes like 4 times alreay.

March is Yotes twice, once with Oilers and Cancuks, also Hawks without Crawford, and Red Wings.

So winneable games though no game is easy for Kings.

But Colorado just won 7 in a row and is still not in playoffs, ya know they will hit a skid. Hawks have no Crawford rest of year, we know while back ups can hold up for a bit, ultimately they don't take you to playoffs.

So to me its 6 teams for 4 spots, Flames, Ducks Wild, Kings, Stars, and Sharks. Heck even throw Blues in there.

Carter back is like getting a huge trade deadline acquisition.

Still have a shot. But D has got to get their shit together.

Maybe in a month we can discuss which Kings will perform best on the golf course come April, or look ahead to the World Championships, or the draft lottery.

Is a culture change about where you happen to finish in the standings? We say all you need to do is get in because they won as the 8th seed, but I'm pretty sure they weren't trying for the 8th seed when that season started.

I know at least I keep harping on it, but they're 1-4-2 at home against the Pacific. They shouldn't be the worst team in the league on home ice against division opponents. They're doing pretty well in all the other 37 games they've played. They're even doing alright in the games they've played without Carter, as long as they're not playing a Pacific team on home ice.

I don't get the home record against the division. What's the kryptonite? They should have the matchup advantage, even if the roster isn't at full strength. The Ducks came in injured almost shut them out. Is Stevens screwing up? Outside of Brown and Kopitar, nobody can score a goal. Toffoli has 0 points. Kempe and Pearson have 1 goal combined. The whole roster gets outmuscled for basically every 50/50 puck battle.

If they're good enough to be 23-11-3, and 18-11-2 without Carter, and 8-6-2 against the West, in all other games, what is this 1-4-2 business at home against the Pacific?
