I know they are starting the 30th, but is there any proformatted schedule that the NHL have made available? Like 1 vs 8 / 4 vs 5 in the east is going to play the 30th, etc.?

I heard on RDS that the habs are going to play tuesday... how did they figured it out?

It's an existential question. I pray for them to not play on wednesday night because i won't be able to watch it if it's the case and i'm going to be pretty pissed !!

Thanks.

Just wondering why game 5 would be on thursday (9th) and not the wednesday (8th) if it's every other day.

My best guess from memory is that after the first four, there's a day in between which shifts it forward. Is this correct? I've got game 5 tickets (so for thursday, allegedly), but have an appointment on wednesday in...toronto. yay. Thus, really hope there is, in fact, an extra day off.

My guess is if they play the Leafs the schedule will be as follows:

Game 1 - April 30th Tues
Game 2 - May 2nd Thurs
Game 3 - May 4th Sat
Game 4 - May 6th Mon
Game 5 - May 8th Wed
Game 6 - May 9th Thu
Game 7 - May 11th Sat

Remeber, 4 rounds of playoffs will have to be played between April 30th and June 26th. Expect a somewhat condensed schedule.

The playoff schedule is not an exact science. It isn't one day on, one day off for the length of the series or the playoffs in general. Rink availabilities and broadcasters' preferences play a big part in determining schedules. For example, if we play the Leafs I will bet my life that games 3 & 6 will be on Saturday night, so there will be an extra days rest sometime during the week. What day you ask? I don't know, depends on the availability of the ACC and the Bell. All that matters is that the 8 series' all end around the same date.

Ya good point. I thought it might have something to do with concerts considering the Rihanna thing THIS wed. Well then, if game 5 IS on Wed, gonna have to move that appointment somehow to Monday cuz if we go to 7, makes no sense/and will cost some $$$ to travel to MTL Wed come back for Friday, go back the next day. So...we might have a back to back in this series. Yikes! Do not like. Oh right, it's saturday, so I can't change it. FACK! Hope we take whatever team in 5. When is the schedule released?
