What ever happens happens, still possible to make the playoffs. Personally I would prefer a top 5 pick, but I wouldn't mind playoffs. I'm ok with what ever outcome.

The problem with the whole "5 points from the playoffs" is that it's misleading and is missing a major component.

Look at win% in terms of points vs games played. The 16th team with the highest win% is +3 (NYR 31pts/28gp), while we are -4. So the actual difference is -7, which is huge when you consider a 100 points team needs +18 over 82 games to get those 100 points. -7 is almost half that full season slice. -7 in win% (in mean difference) is hard to overcome.

Not sure why anyone was thinking playoffs in the 1st place.
I think most just wanted to make some noise around the wild card spots....just some noise.

My issue with them this year, is they should not be getting spanked 9-2 like last night.
They have had a few of these games, losing by 6-7 goals.....WTF???
They have to learn to be more, in the games......can't let that happen.

It would seem fragile is a term for young teams.........and when the goalie crumbles like last night, letting in goals they shouldn't the team is fragile and seems to stop playing.
Beyond Bad 3rd period......Beyond.

A lot can change in a few games. But something more radical than mixing lines is needed. Calling up a goalie would be a start. We used to have a lot more goalie competition in the past. I'm not sure why we've given up on it. Sitting some players would also be a good idea.

Can't keep shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic. This team is quitting too easily and that's unacceptable. People pay alot of money for the Bell Center experience and Molson has to address the current state of this team with his managers. It's not about losing during a rebuild...it's about how you lose.
I would sit Dach next game, he is hurting the team. He was never anything special to begin with.

I'll be very happy when management decide to change their goals for this season because it just isn't going to happen.
What is most disappointing is the Winning Culture they sold us on as being so important just doesn't exist right now.

Two seasons ago I was convinced we were on the right track but right now I just see holes lots of holes.
The time to sell is fast approaching IMO.

Once that is done I think maybe we can start to work on some of the specifics that need some serious attention.
I think the idea now is to try and make sure next season becomes what this season was supposed to be.
