To have a chance at the playoffs they’d most likely have to go 19-10-1 in their last 30 games. The way this team is playing I can’t see that. What Hughes does at the trade deadline will be interesting. This team sure is making it easy on him to trade pending UFA’s.

Nice to get a glimpse of what it's like to have a good team. There are a lot of bright spots. Porbably showed Heineman's utility, and having 4 solid lines.

Maybe having both Beck and Kapanen, along with Roy, in Laval next year will give us the depth we need to overcome injuries?

I loved being in the mix and fighting for a playoff spot. It made hockey interesting again and now our team has quit fighting. Let's get excited about picks who won't make an impact till 2028-29.
