Bruins, who are on a slide, lose some key pieces to injury.
It's on the Habs to take advantage of this. Of course, PIT, OTT, DET, CBJ, even NYR will have something to say, as well.

Can't say he would have prevented this, but Cooper scratching Point against a rival that's 2 points below the standings because he missed a meeting when they aren't a lock for the playoffs is quite the decision.Tampa Bay is awful tonight.....

Canadiens record since their 7-5 win vs. Buffalo on November 11th:
17-9-2 for 36 pts out of a possible 56, playing .643 hockey.
We'll see how the rest of the season goes, but this is a 2-month sample, which is a good enough run to be called a trend and not a just a good run of games.
One more win and we play .545 with our horrid start. That puts us in the playoffs in most years.Canadiens record since their 7-5 win vs. Buffalo on November 11th:

Things are crazy. In the East three playoff spots are open. Only one team is likely out.The race in the East is something else. Right now you've got 10 teams fighting for 3 spots.
With the way teams are winning, the division playoff spots might be set in stone yet either. Still lots of games to be played.
At what point does this become establishing a baseline trend vs hot streak?Canadiens record since their 7-5 win vs. Buffalo on November 11th:

It has to be a trend as our whole season with all the good and the bad almost puts us in the playoffs. At what point does this become establishing a baseline trend vs hot streak?

- December 3rd, added rocket boosters
Adding Carrier and replacing Primeau improved the team defensively even further.
