Akdag might not play.
However, the Swiss seem to be on a good run, they'll probably win but Germany - Switzerland matchups are always tough battles and if Germany manages to score more than one goal out of 100 shots... who knows?

I got the Swiss winning and I think they might surprise and make it a good match vs SWE, possibly even winning. Not impressed by SWE so far.

Pretty stoked for this one, it's been a while Germany played a meaningful game at the Olympics. If Pielmeier stands on his head and the boys improve their finishing, they might have a chance.

Gonna watch it during work. Hoping for the Swiss to make it, but i expect the Germans to battle to a win in a hard thought, low scoring game.

Ger 2 : Swiss 1 in OT

Lets hope for interesting and emotional game ;)

Almond picking up right where he left off in the Swiss League. Sure, Ehrhoff has his head way down, but Almond should know better than to elbow his head.
It's not that he had his head down, he saw the hit coming and tried to bail on a guy committed to the hit. No way Almond can stop at that point.

To me that's a two.

But this game has a lot more Animus than I had expected.

I like it.

That's what he always does, it's a miracle it took him so long to do it in an international tournament. This time it was no fake by Ehrhoff.
Clearly we can see why Fischer would take Almond over Richard.

Had it been his shoulder making contact, I'd agree. But Almond clearly had no intention of finishing a clean hit.

If erhoff doesn't bail ( lowering his head) to me it looks plausible that it could have been a clean stiff check.

Which provably would gave gotten 5 and a game anyways.

I hope Ehrhoff is coming back, that's going to be a heated affair..
Yeah me too. Do the Olympics have a quiet room or is it left to the players team doctor?

When he was walking back he did look a little wobbly taking off his helmet.
