I like that too. The Nylander/Tavares issue makes it so hard to put together lines because the one guy I really like with JT is Mikheyev but we can’t split the L3.

You cannot take out Rielly, Brodie, Gio, Muzzin. Liliegren is playing like a top 4, 6 million dollar D. So it comes down to Holl and Boosh. They both offer something different. Boosh offers size and physicality, Holl has size and good transition. They can rotate but Lilly cannot come out.

I think we missed Lyubushkin’s physicality on the backend last night. I wouldn’t be taking him out of the lineup.

Holl should come out of the lne up he is a massive liabilty who cant even walk and chew gum at the same time. The amount of times i see him on the ice when we are scored upon is f***ing ridiculous

As soon as we changed our d pairs, our defense went downhill really badly. Lyubushkin should not leave the lineup. He is a playoff bound defenceman. Holl should only make it into the lineup if two defenceman go down. When he struggles he is in a position to drastically and negatively effect the outcome of a game. Keefe has to realize this.

Even sheltered I wouldn't trust Muzzin - Holl

My concern is that Muzzin-Holl both can get lost in the puck pursuit if they don't use their bodies, and then scramble to recover. Muzzin skates in molasses at times and Holl loses his man too often, particularly when he is with Muzzin.

I don't get it, seems like Holl coasts when he has his buddy next to him, that second Reinhart PP goal is prime example, no hussle back to the front of the net allows the pass tip over to reinhart for the rebound tap in.

Holl played well with a quick decision maker and when he kinda has to be equal if not better than his partner.

Is how I see our defense optimized. IN THE CASE Muzzin is playing trash like he was for bulk of the season and Sandin is back in time, I go:

Sandin-Brodie (Puck mover and stay at home defenseman)
Gio-Lily (possibly our most balanced pair)

I guess it makes sense to put here. CJ on the Leafs Report said he doesn't see Sandin playing in the playoffs even when he is healthy. He might play some games in a rotation at the end of the season, but not likely in the playoffs. Also said there is a chance in a big game, Muzzin/Holl are scratched.

i actually think holl plays well with brodie, and muzzin and him suck. could try muzzin brodie but muzzin looks slow as f*** to me.

Personally, I would love it if Muzzin shaved his beard right off and suggested to all his team-mates to do the same and keep it like that throughout this years playoff run.

My angle is different from Lou's angle which he enforced players to doit because nobody likes shaving and the hassle that it takes to keep that clean shaven look. and lou figured if they could get past that well it sets it up for anything else that gets in their way becomes easier in a sense.

MY Angle is because I want to see our Leafs not only become unified in their mission but if a stick hits a clean shaven face well the likelyhood of blood occuring is better with the clean shaven face therefore the opposition gets a 4 minute major penalty instead of just a two minuter.

If we want to take advange of every rule out there this is one that could really help us out come game time and at least give us a better chance to bury more pucks and bury the opposition or at least it gives you a better chance to get back into the game if blood is drawn.

Imagine seeing our team clean shaven and losing the stigma of growing a beard for the playoffs. For me it would be like them actioning off all their golf clubs to show,..they are all in it!

I think Lube and Simmer should be full timers based on the Leafs need for physicality. Blackwell doesn't win draws like Spezza, but he's better at it than Kerfoot.

First i thought WTH is this rambeling. But ive come to my senses . It is a great idea. But i would not force players that always has a beard to shave it. If u feel your best , you will do your best. And the coach need to give u the task you are best at.

I couldn't stand Jumbo's either. He looked like he was destitute and homeless. Kind of expected to see him pushing a grocery cart on the side of the highway.
