The other topic about current players, who would retire with having only played for one team got me thinking. With guys like Brodeur, Alfredsson, Modano etc., whom everyone assumed would only play for one team ended up elsewhere, who are the players, that actually retired in the same team they first started playing for.

I'm only looking for players, who have had a career of some kind of significance. Not necessarily just star players, but also team icons like Ken Daneyko count. Please don't list names who only played a couple of seasons.

Also Tomas Holmstrom. And while not totally what the OP is looking for because of a shortened career, Jiri Fischer kinda fits the description.
Nah. I'm not really looking for guys like Fischer, whose career got cut down by injuries or illnesses that early. He only played for about 300 games. Homer definitely fits the description though.

I compiled a list about a year ago of the 27 players who had played 1000+ games for only 1 team. Since then both Sedins have joined the club and Brodeur got kicked out. Spent a couple minutes updating the list with the active players current games played. The next players up as far as I can tell are Chris Neil and Pavel Datsyuk.

He was never a league superstar, but we do think pretty highly of David Vyborny here in Columbus and he was a big part of the early years, so maybe he counts?
