Yes, solid middle pair D on a normal team which makes him our second best D behind walman.

Didn't look great on PP1, now on PP2, but has done exactly what we acquired him to do, which is to play passably in the DZ and massively improve the breakout / transition game, while chipping in a little offense. Has even made Ferraro look decent at times when paired with him.

He's definitely helped a lot and I'm happy with his game as a 2nd pairing PMD but I'd like to get him a better partner than Ferraro. I think he'll be a solid middle pairing guy for us or be a crushing 3rd pairing guy.

I see you've got the formatting for thread titles down pat. But why are there only new threads for the Swedes?:sarcasm:
Cause Eye of Ra is Master Swede of HFBoards. Any other silly questions?

@Eye of Ra In exchange for our opinions on Swedes playing for the Sharks, could you give us some insight into Sharks playing in Sweden? Specifically, how has Leo Sahlin-Wallenius doing this year and how likely do you think he is to make the WJC team?

Why do we have these individual players threads and also the players discussion thread? It is a little bit too redundant? These players discussions already have discussed in the main big thread. When does it stop? Do we go until the 7th round pick?

Someone need to merge all these little threads into one big thread.

Eye of Ra just started Swedish player threads.

I actually prefer the player threads. The "discuss every player" thread becomes a massive shit fight about Kunin, Goodrow, Ferraro, and Smith (this year's lightning rods).

Maybe we need a separate massive shit fight thread where we can have an airing of the grievances.

I like Liljegren a lot, he's been our 2nd best D, he's done the hero's work of carrying Mario Ferraro to respectable performances on a lot of nights which looked to be an impossible task through the first 10 games of this season

You gotta hand it to Ferraro though, he’s had some really good games lately. I’m wondering if it’s accidental or if Liljegren takes some weight off his shoulders and calms him down a little. If Ferraro can legitimately play like a top 4 defenseman and chip in all of a sudden… it bodes well.

I think it's  kinda both, Liljegren is a good stylistic fit with Ferraro to allow him to focus on the strengths of his game and as a result Ferraro has calmed down and isn't trying to do too much all the time, but I still give Liljegren the lion's share of the credit

Ferraro's play has improved but he still throws up massive stinker games every once in a while because he's a bottom pair talent playing top-4 minutes, Liljegren is hard-carrying that pair to respectability
