This is a tough call. In a one-off, Clemens against Gibson is basically a wash. Gibson is the second best "big game pitcher" of his generation (Koufax being the one ahead of him). I have to say that the order of Boston's lineup is a bit weird, especially the lead off combination of T. Williams and Foxx. Those are batters that I would have placed in the heart of the lineup. That being said, Sugar Land didn't even post a lineup so I can't hold that against Boston.

The nearly non-existent Boston bullpen is a definite weakness but that doesn't really matter in a play-in game (obviously that would be different if they end up advancing). I wouldn't think the bench is going to be a giant factor unless this ends up being an 18 inning game. Sugar Land has the advantage in the outfield, Boston in the infield. Sugar Land is actually leaving a better shortstop on the bench (Trammell) as opposed to the one they're starting (Larkin). I'll have to think more about this before making my decision.
