It's reported also on Mtv3 (another finnish channel).

Antti-Jussi Niemi will go instead.

Flyers fan in me goes
Finn in me goes

Dont really matter. Werent going to finish in medals with this team.

 :banghead:

Well, if they actually come out strong after all these drawbacks in the olympics, I'll be over the moon.

At least no one should be putting any pressure on the team Finland now, not even as a darkhorse. Miracle on ice incoming? :propeller

Travesty on ice is far more likely. Niemi really isn't that bad but comparing him to Pitkänen is like comparing Cory Cross to Scott Niedermayer. Somehow I don't feel like the injuries have ended yet.

If Finland wins more than "the easy ones" (if there are any with this squad) I will write a f****** praise poem for that team. What the heck, I´ll write one for each player of the team.

Wow - hopefully that will be it.....

Doesn't really matter anymore.

All hope is lost for even decent competing. Pitkänen keeps playing 25 minutes a game, Kipper and Lehtonen keep on starting games, Kapanen plays full minutes...

Forsberg is going, and he has not even been able to play for a few weeks! Now THAT is respectable. These finnish clowns can ***k off.

I will remind you when it will happen. Unfortunately it will be just one.

Yeah, i kinda agree, but we dont know the whole story.

No disrespect or anything, but it sure feels as a sign of weakness for this finnish team when they select Niemi as the replacement.

But Finland has a great history of being the big underdog, so you never know... But imo it doesn´t look like they have good team enough to be one of the contenders for the medals.

This is nothing but a sing of stupidity of Erkka. But what else can you expect from a coach who picks Hentunen over J.Jokinen. :shakehead

I'd still have some hope, even with this team if only it wasn't for Erkka... No kind of motivator, and where's the fighting spirit?
