Vs what we thought when the trade first went down? Yeah for sure.

If Horny wants to stay and JR wants to pay him, there are lots of options with Brassard now at 3MM. Trade Sheary, Hagelin, or Sheahan.

So the Pens have around $1.3 million in cap space now. I looked up the rules and basically when you divide the days in the season, 186, by remaining days, around 50, it means you can sign someone with a contract that for the year is about 3.5 times the cap space you have. So we can sign a guy with a north of $4 million cap hit annually on defense

Not sure if anyone caught JR's quick interview on Root, or whatever they call it these days, but he said Reaves was a player "insisted upon being included" in the assets going out. So VGK wanted him, he wasn't just a throw-in.
