Dubas gave $27 million each to Jarry and Graves on the same day right after he was hired by the Pens.

That’s $52 million in salary to a guy that is now on waivers and another guy that is now a perennial healthy scratch on one of the worst D corps in the league.

Why does/did anyone ever think Kyle Dubas was qualified to run an NHL team?

The ironic thing about life is that if Jarry had started over Murray in '20 the Penguins would have beaten Montreal. If Jarry had been healthy and not Louie Louie in 22 we would have beaten the Rangers, who went to the cup finals.

Jarry is absolutely horrible now, just as Murray can't make the show.

Goalies man. You gotta know when to put em in and when to pull em out.

This basis based on how awful of a goalie he was in the 2021 playoffs is hard to believe. Just from that series alone, I was always questioning any trust in him again.

What's funny is that Murray had a .914 in that series and that was treated as an absolute rock-bottom performance. If Jarry had a .914 I'd probably throw a party.

Guess it's easier to say in retrospect about mediocre goalies, beacuse sometimes it works out and you get a Ullmark/Markstrom. Other times you get a Jarry/Merzlikins.

I mean not wrong but at least with Ullmark he was a consistent performer on some BAD teams.

Contract was never great when signed, most Pens fans wanted to move on from him. The amount wasnt the question, it was always the long term commitment.

Could be. But as of now he is just buns. Deflating goal after deflating goal. He comes up from the AHL conditioning stint, then plays well for a few games before falling into his same nonsense. He just gives off vibes of total complacency. He’s the opposite of a Campbell who craps on himself all day, he never takes any responsibility.

His career was largely ruined by injury, his father's passing, and the league completely changing in terms shot selection over volume after the 16-17 cup.

Incredible goalie in his prime. Sad to see what happened IMO..

The whole "let in the first goal" problem has been an Oilers problem forever. Not sure how Schwartz has been goalie coach for the Oilers since 2014 and why any goalie would go to him in the summer for lessons.
