Who’s taking his place? Koivunen, McGroarty, Ponomarev? Nope, some face puncher that scores at the same rate as Nieto. Except his rate is from the AHL and Nieto’s rate is from the NHL.

Whomever they bring up will be buried in the 4th line the rest of this year, this is still a Sullivan team after all. So Ill take the AHL face puncher over ruining the dev of anyone you listed by sticking them on acari's wing giving them 7 minutes a night if it means nieto is gone.

Nieto has 7pts in 55 total games with the penguins.

7pts at the NHL level vs 7pts at the AHL level, I don't see a difference, and at least the face puncher on the 4th line might appear to have a pulse.

He's an AHLer who does nothing at the NHL level. Though he is aggresively bland. Ok to have in the lineup for a game or two but anything more than that is painful.

I really hope a team claims him and that's the end of him being over used by Sullivan.

Dubas needs to take more toys away from that absolute tit of a coach.


Watch Nieto go to another team and be used in a more constructive way and he plays better for them. Even Jansen Harkins, who couldn't score a single goal in 45 games, has sucked far less for the Ducks and managed 2 goals in 40 games (and has already surpassed his blistering 4pts in 45 games last season with 6pts in 40 games).

Nieto thinks this is a bad thing, but really, it's the best thing for him and whatever remains of his career.

If Nieto gets claimed, I'd use the NHL slot to sign Avery Hayes.

He was supposedly injured recently so yeah...whatever, I'd rather he was claimed and not take a spot away from anyone in WBS.
