Have to agree. While he finally scored , he had been largely ineffective as a penguin and his cap hit is large. At this point pens would gladly take that deal

Zucker not PKing for Sully doesn’t mean he can’t PK.
Sully also barely plays Kapanen, a very good PKer, on the PK.
This trade sucks though, keep your Strome.

Zucker can PK. If he can't play for MN, where his family is, I guess CHI is the next best thing, so I guess he would be happier? Can't say that Strome is what PIT needs, though at least he is young'ish, and still has a chance to improve.

He had a garbage season last year which he admits to. The season prior and this season, he's been producing at the same levels as his career high.
Penguins do not take that deal. Strome now is about where Zucker is on a meh/bad season. Maybe due to age, they might it's not because Strome is objectively a better player.

Zucker is a JR addition that would like to be deleted by hextall based on the cap. He had more than a bad sesosn which extended into the post season amd his playbthis season while early has been only very average. If this deal passes in front of hextall he jumps on it and rightfully so based solely on the direction of the team.

Zucker looks more like his old self this season and the numbers back it up. Shooting the puck like a fiend and skating looks back to normal too. Zucker - ERod - Kap are like the 2nd highest xG line in the league right now and that ain't because of f***ing ERod lol
Eat 1.5-2.0 million AAV off Zucker contract and Chicago might not hang up the phone.

Wouldn't want Strome anywhere near a team trying to do something in the playoffs, and the Pens aren't in a position to be trading away a top 6 winger.

Who is this top 6 winger you speak of ? Zucker has played like a bottom 6 since arriving despite getting paid. His play has been below average again.
