JT Saved a clear goal for Jersey early from backchecking hard to the net. At that point, I knew the boys would find a way, ugly or not.
I like to keep those plays in mind because while JT has missed some goal scoring chances, he does take care of business elsewhere

I'll cover it with a very simple fact, and a very simple wrong opinion.
Leafs FO% - 65%
My father: "THEY CAN'T WIN A FACEOFF IF THEIR LIVES DEPENDED ON IT!"
Maybe he's just scarred from Babcock putting Hyman with a busted knee up against Bergeron in the defensive zone on the PK in game 7.

Like you might as well just pick up the puck and throw it in your own net at that point.

I don't know if it was the ice or the puck but our guys were fumbling the thing quite a bit. I also liked the changes Keefe made and that the players complied with. Stylistically, the leafs do not use their defenders' point shots to generate offense but it seemed to be a bit of a focus tonight. Similarly, the boys have now taken the initiative in playing physical hockey. Both signs of good coaching and necessary preparation for the playoffs

I'm getting f***ing old man, fell asleep on the couch immediately after the 3rd period. Great game though, Mrazek looked better, he still forgot where the posts were a few times but overall much much better. I don't fault him on the 2 goals tbh. Fluke deflection and then the 2nd one was just a tough play. Holl made an amazing stick save, but 2 NJ players crashing the crease, Holl was our only guy in front. Brodie and whoever the C was on that shift were MIA. Hopefully he gains some confidence, huge 2 points and great comeback win, we were the better team all game. I didn't notice Gio much which is usually a good sign for a D man. Break outs were crisp, him and Lily did a fine job. Tavares just looks like he takes his foot off the gas when AM34 is playing, he's absolutely godly when Matthews is out, then just cruises when he's in the lineup.

Giordano looks so calm out to there, what a difference maker. Just need Muzzin back, move Holl to Lybushkins vacated 8th spot and this is a really solid looking D core.

If the guy sitting in 323 row 18 seat 3or 4 posts on here, here’s a pro tip. It’s not necessary to yell shoot every time a Leaf touches the puck inside the opponents blueline.

You’re welcome.
Did you receive complaints?
It's a hockey game, shouldn't the fans be yelling?

We are ready for the playoffs. This Leafs is special, surely we will go far in the playoffs this year.

We have the size, skill and speed to match any team in the league. We are easily better than the Bruins.

Florida and Tampa are about as good as us, i think we have the edge though due to having the best player in the world on our club ;)

Winning dirty is great to see. Bottom 6 all engaged and with a minute or 2 left Marner making great effort to block a shot. Outstanding play and leadership. He is becoming a real force in leading. A far better player today than last October. He is really warning that 10.4M

Ice was bad for sure. For a hockey town you would think they would have the best ice in the league. New guys hitting should be infectious. Like Holl taking out Hughes, need more of that from big guys like him. If Muzzin comes back like his old self it will be even better. He’ll no longer be the only guy that hits and he’ll wonder what team he returned to.

Willy is the weak spot. He shouldnt be on the wall at the point. Plays died on his stick last night. Gave the puck away a few times
I mean yeah it's obvious Willy is a worse player than Marner. Marner was THE biggest problem with the power play last night though. He kept missing his passes and made some bad decisions.

That first period sure was boring.
What was there 10 shots total for both teams.

The game game pick up mid way in the 2nd.

No bad goals,no injuries and 2 points,so that's good

He got lucky on a few plays, he looked like a guy who was from Toronto and had dreamed of playing for the Leafs. I'm sure his nerves were pretty high today. If this is his worst game as a Leaf, we got a steal in that trade. It will be interesting to see if they are going to play him up in the line up with Rielly or Brodie or if they are going to stick with the righty lefty thing. Lilly actually looked like a NHL dMan last night.

Holl's hit on Hughes was surprising; Jack is a small guy, but nonetheless, Holl separated man from puck which was great too see.

We need more of that, teams that are comfortable play loose, teams that play loose play their game. We don't need comfortable teams in the playoffs, we need teams that rush passes, do double clutching on shots, teams that wont go to the middle of the ice. We got no Clutterbucks but we do have a bunch of big boys who can, if they chose so , hit like freight trains. We need more smash smashy and less cutsie tootsie. Lyush had a guy lined up last night and just missed him, That would have got their attention.

Was at the game last night.

Shoutout to Mrazek. Was a little worried after the first one, but man he played a great game. Good for him after being waived and hated by leaf fans. Gained a little more trust tonight..

Matthews seemed a bit quiet, but like others said the bottom 6 won this one. Mikheyev looks even faster in person than on TV. What a goal. Not exactly sure what the goalie was doing but he just froze him.
