I found the TOI allocation interesting tonight for the D

Definitely pleased with tonight.

Mrazek putting in a starter worthy performance is huge

Felt like we could have put more on the board, but the Devils move the puck quickly when they get going and we did a good job suppressing them overall.

Collected the two points that we really needed and jumped ahead of Tampa for the time being

This is going to be a tight race to the playoffs for us, Boston, and Tampa. So hopefully we keep rolling and collect as many points as possible especially in winnable games like this one

That pretty bad team has a way of beating decent teams this season and badly.

Devils 4 Pens 2
Devils 6 Pens 1
Devils 7 Panthers 3
Devils 5 Bolts 3
Devils 7 Canes 4
Devils 7 Blues 4
Devils 7 Rangers 4

Glad we swept the series and didnt end up on that list.
I guess all those teams on the L side of things must be terrible teams …..

Looked rusty for a lot of the 2nd and for the PP especially, PK saved us tonight. Mrazek played well, not too many rebounds.
Mikheyev is a secret weapon on the PK. Engvall had a great game. Loved the hits, even the ones that missed. Devils are going to be good, they are a fast forecheck heavy pressure team, but we were patient and took advantage of some opportunities. These are the tight games we were winning with our eyes closed in the first half of the season with decent goaltending. Mrazek provided that tonight. Welcome to the new guys.

Mrazek wasn't good, barely over .900

Second best goalie again. He looks like he's swimming after every save, if there's a rebound he will have no idea where it is.

He made some big saves, and while neither goal was highlight reel worthy, neither were really on him.
He made the stops needed to make and looked a lot more calm than in past performances

I wasn't really minding those new gold jerseys until I noticed that the logo has some kind of emote/smiley face.

That was a real blue collar effort against a blue collar team. Glad to see they didn't take NJ lightly.

This team suddenly likes to hit. 27+ hits in each of their last 6 games.
They had only four 27+ hit games in their first 30 this season.
This bodes well as we head to the playoffs I think.

I feel I have noticed Matthews hitting more... and we do have some guys that will throw a shoulder here and there in Lilly, Sandin, Clifford was for sure... Kerfoot tries lol.

I think it has to be timely and of course not take yourself out of the play, but I'd like to see at least the league average and a couple doozies per game. I think with Blackwell and Gio those hit numbers should rise a little.

Great hard checking game

I love how no one wants a peice if simmonds. McLeod immediately loses all his energy when simmonds is in the scrum
