Post-Game Talk: Physical Win

Normally I'd agree with this sentiment but this was a hot team that dummied NYR last night and chased Shesty in the process.
They're very young. The back to back isn't as lethal to them.

Let's not devalue this win.

Never have to apologize for a win.

A win is a win, but let’s remember that’s a pretty bad team that just played the night before.

That pretty bad team has a way of beating decent teams this season and badly.

Thought New Jersey didn't play poorly either. We did outshoot them but they hung in there. Thoguht in the first two periods our team just wasn't meshing. Puck was bouncing around. Players falling. Ice probably has a lot to do with that. But we played a very solid defensive game for the most part. Good win!

Well Tomorrow's Boston VS Tampa game will be interesting

If Boston wins the pass Tampa for 3rd, meaning it would be Toronto VS Boston again.

seemed like 6 but the double minor counts as 2, so they had 4 PP's. My mistake

Really pleased with Gio. Simple and effective game. Blackwell motors. Good team win. PP needs to smarten up (even though it's tops in the league). Great PK!

This team suddenly likes to hit. 27+ hits in each of their last 6 games.
They had only four 27+ hit games in their first 30 this season.

You can hit even when you have lots of possession. It's mindblowing.

Mrazek was solid. PK was amazing and lethal at the same time.

Good solid win. Not much to complain about other than the PP but just one game. Defended pretty well. Got a bit out of structure at times in the 2nd but picked it up in the 3rd. PK was fantastic again. Mrazek wasn't busy but made a couple big saves. Gio was really good but that whole pairing was good same with the others. Liked Blackwell a lot. Energy with some physicality. Couple skilled plays too. 4th line all of a sudden looked good.
The physical play was nice in the 3rd. Felt like one guy stated it then mutiple guys wanted to join in.

Second goal was a tough one. He was battling, but half the D was MIA.

Thought he played a great game. Team plays tight D like this and giddy up.

I loved the physicality of that third period. It was the first time in a while that I saw elements of the Leafs game that can translate to April hockey. Hopefully the boys build off of it.

id rather be 1st than 16th, I think everyone feels the same, otherwise people wouldn't be pissed after we lose a game. i never see a comment like yours after a loss, lol!

Loved seeing Timmy Liljegren throwing the body around. Once he got comfortable in the AHL he did that A LOT. Love seeing it at the NHL level now.
