Happy with the win. Mrazek played very good. Thought most of the skaters kinda of struggled to get any flow or consistency going, but battled hard. PP was horrific. PK was good. I enjoyed the 5 minutes of physical hockey that we played... really brought in the heavy game there lol

Devils suck on the back end... like majorly.

Mzarek played well. Let in goals that should go in. Did not let in shots that shouldn't go in. And stopped shots that should have gone in.

Not much to add from what many have already said here, but one other positive I want to highlight is that was probably one of Willy’s best games in a long time. If he gets back to 1st half Willy, another huge positive for the team. JT still seemingly struggling to finish at times, but better game for that line as a whole.

What's the consensus on the called back gio trip?

I called bullsh!t until I seen the 4th replay where there was clear contact on the back of the skate, looked like a trip to me with pretty obvious embellished fall but still a trip no?

Was definitly a penalty imo.

I thought the leafs looked clumsy quite frankly, too many missed shots on net, fumbling pucks, trying to clear the puck out of the defensive zone only to land on New Jerseys sticks. The positive was the physical aspect which was a pleasure to see. But ill take tye 2 points onto the next

It was a penalty, but given the number of odd man rushes NJ have up on the PP, it was probably better for them.

D was solid, lotsa sticks in lanes, deflections, big backcheck by JT, finishing checks, just 22 shots, brought the A game on D for Mraz.

I don't think the Gio thing was a penalty personally. I think at worst his stick grazed the guys skate. There wasn't enough force there in any way to drop the Jersey player like that. He was either already going down, or embellished, so either way the reversal was a good call.

Really pleased with the additional physicality in this one. I thought everyone except for Simmonds, Spezza, Boosh and Bunting played pretty good.
