Could very well be the steal of his 2018 draft year. Has elite skating abilities, his edge work reminds me of Matt Barzal lite as far as his skating is concerned, excellent offensive instincts both as a goal scorer and playmaker and has the ability get fans on the edge of their seats. In addition, he has an excellent two hundred foot game and is very responsible in all areas of the ice. He is a buzzsaw as far as his puck pursuit is concerned, I have said it before and I will say it again, think Hossa lite as far as his complete 200 foot game
I was fortunate enough to work for a Swiss Millionaire when the world juniors were held here in Vancouver so I saw Philipp live in every Swiss game for free and the seats were centre ice row 5

[/TBODY]Philipp Kurashev (born 12 October 1999) is a Swiss professional ice hockey center who is currently playing with the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Kurashev was drafted 120th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.[1]

Kurashev played his junior hockey in the QMJHL for the Quebec Remparts. He played 183 regular season games and put up 179 points (69 goals) over 3 seasons. He also played 17 playoffs games, putting up 13 points (3 goals).
On 12 March 2019, Kurashev signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.[2] He reported to the Rockford IceHogs at the end of his junior season and made his professional debut on 5 April 2019.[3]
Prior to the 2020–21 campaign, with the North America season delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kurashev remained in Switzerland as he was loaned to NL club, HC Lugano, on 6 September 2020.[4] Kurashev made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks on January 15, 2021 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Kurashev was named to Switzerland men's national team for the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia.[5]
Kurashev is the son of Russian former professional hockey player Konstantin Kurashev. He holds Swiss and Russian dual citizenship, and is fluent in English, German, and Russian.[6][7]
