I don't know how stretched out Mercado is going to be or can be. Think the plan was to shorten him up and use him out of the pen in the second half. They have an off day so they can skip that spot (or bullpen game) and Taijuan probably just gets his spot back once he's off the IL.

I think Rob said Walker won't be back until at least after the break. So either Mercado or bullpen games for a few starts at least. The off days in July help though.
