Washington had 8 or 9 in the box on that play like teams often have recently. The upside of that is that you hold the YPC down. The downside is that when he breaks one, it’s an explosive. And that’s why Saquon turning these into 6 means so much. Getting 60 instead of 25 makes you a completely different offense.

Absolutely...it takes a step away from defenders.

Heard all week that if you take out Saquon's big runs, Washington is holding him to 3 YPC.

Defense got no chance to rest though.

They said the same thing when he was at Penn State. Unfortunately for opposing teams there is/was usually a decent chance of him getting that big play or two every game. So how can you really rest on those hypotheticals?
