I was thinking the same thing until they showed that stat about the Pats also having a 13-game win streak in one score games in 2003 and 2004.

They went back-to-back with 14-2 regular seasons. And those Pats teams were loaded. Like one of the most impressive rosters you'll find over a 2-year-span. I wasn't aware they were on the edge so many times.

If they could pull it off, so can the Chiefs. Mahomes still has only lost 3 playoff games and you remember them all. AFC CG against the Pats where the d-line-man was offsides, the Super Bowl against Brady's Bucs and the AFC CG against Burrow and the Bengals. That's how rare their losses are. Chiefs will be a TOUGH out, just like every other year.

There's close games from 20 years ago, then there's blocked FGs against dogshit teams as time expired. Not all 1 score games are created equal. We all know that after last year lol

I don't want to do the Brady was incredibly lucky (and also great) thing again, but those Patriots are absurd outliers and a bigger portion than you would guess was Kicking. In Brady’s entire Patriots career, they lost exactly one close Game due to a late missed FG or XP. One. To Arizona of all teams. When you flip it the other way, the first time a Brady QBed team lost a game to a late FG of 50 or more Yards was the 2021 Bucs.

*Edit* I should have explained late/clutch FGs and XPs. Those are defined as 4th Quarter with a margin of 4 or less Points in either direction.

I'm always here for that. Peyton is the undisputed GOAT. Everybody else can talk to a wall.

Other than that, yeah, that's why I said those teams were loaded, not just Brady. Lots of HOFers on those teams. But yaeh, I agree with the points you made. Great teams, but still lots of luck involved, no doubt.

Dude I forgot about that. I remember you said that before. That's actually a crazy stat

Rodgers misses a wide open TD then throws a 95 yard biggish fella pick 6 on the next play. Couldn't happen to a better guy

I am very much ready for people to understand Rodgers has one of the most overrated careers in NFL history.

(His peak was still super, super high. He just fell off way quicker and sharper than most think.)
