Meanwhile it feels like Paul George is quietly quiting.I think the "out for season" update is coming for Embiid soon.
Sounds like Santa might be coming down the chimney in an easter bunny costume then.“Well, when you look at our guards, you have it right. I think Jared McCain is gonna be a great player, and he’s someone we considered strongly. But with Maxey, Dowtin, Lowry – at some point, it gets tough to go with the smaller guy. But he’s a fantastic player.”
Santa actually just signed a 10 year partnership deal with Fanatics.
League is gonna force sell the Sixers....I think the "out for season" update is coming for Embiid soon.
Washed up veteran fixation is a common thing for teams in that building. I miss the spectrum. It's a shame Morey has this washed up veteran fixation.
Because they added some nice young players, two great young guards and that French center has potential. That game was actually fun to watch, started a young lineup and the kids were running all night.
Too bad when George and Embiid are back they'll slow the pace to a crawl.
So I admittedly never pay attention until after the All Star Break, only have so much bandwidth.
How is McCain doing? I know he was great today (actually watched), but besides today
Today (well, last night) was pretty much more of the same for him. Right now he’s the favorite for ROTY.So I admittedly never pay attention until after the All Star Break, only have so much bandwidth.

Ben Simmons was -20 and a big help.
It's all relative.Oubre and Yabu are less than a month from being 29. Martin is already 29. That’s starting a young lineup now. Flyers brain is alive and well in every sport.
It's all relative.
George (34), Lowry (38), Drummond (31), Gordon (36), Jackson (34).
Here's the beautiful part:
2025: 1st (protected 1-6) otherwise gone, no 2nd
2026: [if 2025 doesn't convey, 2026 protected 1-4], Thunder's worst 1st, mo 2nd
2027: 1st (protected 1-8), otherwise gone, LAC 1st rd pick, 2nd Bucks
2028: 1st (protected 1-8 if not conveyed in 2027), 2nd if 2027/2028 1st doesn't convey
In other words, they only have a future if they really, really suck.
Which may happen if George and Embiid break down b/c they'll have no cap room.
Odds are they'll be just bad enough to miss the playofs and lose their 1st rd picks.
This could be the Process years redux without the Process.
We have unprotected the Clippers pick in 2026 right?Yep, which is why Paul George was so much better than every other option. They kept their own picks as well as the Clippers'
One thing I would say is that while everyone is focused on Flagg, there are some truly outstanding guys coming up in the couple years after. Cam Boozer (Carlos' son, also has a twin who is good) and AJ Dybantsa are both MVP level talents for 2026 plus then you have Stokes and Quaintance who are 1OA in a normal year types. It's a monster class. Their U17 USA team was unbelievably good.
We have unprotected the Clippers pick in 2026 right?
Ok, so no way they get that pick if it's good then.Sorta. 28 is the flat out unprotected one.
2026 first round draft pick to Oklahoma City or Philadelphia
Oklahoma City will receive the two most / more favorable of its 2026 1st round pick, Houston's 2026 1st round pick protected for selections 1-4 and the L.A. Clippers' 2026 1st round pick and Philadelphia will receive the least / less favorable of these; if the Houston pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Houston will instead convey its 2026 2nd round pick to Oklahoma City [L.A. Clippers-Oklahoma City, 7/10/2019; Houston-Oklahoma City, 7/16/2019; L.A. Clippers-Oklahoma City-Philadelphia, 11/1/2023]
Insert obligatory appreciation for Presti here.
One of the reasons why I hate NBA trades. You literally need a JD to read this mumbo jumbo. Or you have to be ridiculously patient to parse through it all. They need to go back to keeping it simple stupid.Sorta. 28 is the flat out unprotected one.

Got distracted last night but, great post!“Well, when you look at our guards, you have it right. I think Jared McCain is gonna be a great player, and he’s someone we considered strongly. "In the NCAA, there's lots of shooting and cutting, and speed. I already know a couple of things that we're going to have to work on with McCain to get him ready to play the NBA style of game"“Well, when you look at our guards, you have it right. All I'm saying is trades shouldn't be reading patch notes for PoE2 or Dota 2.There's no reason to be a lunatic like me who has to understand everything. The Sixers have an extra 2026 fake 1st and the Clippers' 28 pick and a 29 pick swap. You're done.
Now sometimes those fake 1sts turn into Tyrese Maxey thanks to Giant Among Men Mike Muscala. But you don't even worry about that until it's time.
